Topic: AUSTRALIAN PR or CANADIAN PR--Which is BETTER?
Hi,
Here are my research points :
Canadian PR:
takes around 1 year
You can land as a PR
IT jobs are less when compared to US
US is closer but what use when you cannot work?
You can get TN visa only if you are a citizen of canada AND NOT a PR
Dollar rate is more.. but sal levels are low
Medical is good than AUS
Weather is BAD when compared to AUS
Farther to India
No special privelages for working in US
When on TN visa you cannot file for GC
AUS PR
Takes one 15 months
Dollar rate is low but SAL is high
IT jobs are more
Closer to India
AUS citizens can come to US on E3 visa ( 10k+) every year
they can be easily renewed like TN but you cannot apply GC with that
Suggestion :
Apply only when you are in 4th year H1 and have not started labor.
Reason : It takes one year to get CAN PR or AUS PR.. then you will have roughly 10 months to land and save ur PR in that country.. by which time if luck runds oout of H1, you can switch to that other country |
Topic: Status of 485 When I-140 denied
Hi,
we cannot do an MTR or appeal because 30 days have elapsed. I understand that the 485 shoudl have been denied by now.
But what happens if the new I-140 has got the A # information relating to the one on 485, would the 485 be alive?
Thanks |

ok. But if the new I-140 is filed with the A# on the I140, would the 485 be valid? |

Topic: Status of 485 When I-140 denied
Hi,
I -140 Filed in July 2007
485/EAD/AP filed in Aug 2007
I-140 denied in May 2008
New I-140 was filed.
The original denial was not appealed or MTR'd
Can someone tell me what happens to the underlying I-485?
Thanks |
