Topic: Card Production Ordered Club. Feel Free to join the club!!
FINALLY!! I got my card! I got my "Card Mailed" email on 08/01 and received the card yesterday. |

Well, many people from TSC are in the same boat as me. We got multiple CPO, soft LUD, etc. but no card yet. We attempted multiple calls to USCIS, even INfoPass visit. There is a problem with TSC, as I mentioned with the CIS Ombudsman call (click on my name to see that particular post).
However, many of us received a "Card Mailed" notice last week, so hopefully we ALL will get the card THIS WEEK. |

USCIS just did ANOTHER Soft LUD today, 08/04/08. So they've been doing Soft LUD on 07/24, 07/30, 08/01, and 08/04. The only change to the status itself is on 08/01 where it said "Card Mailed".
I wonder why there are so many soft LUD.... Did the CIS Ombudsman call have any bearing on this? I hope so! Can't go wrong with about 10+ people complain in front of the CIS Ombudsman while USCIS listening in.... :) |

Same here. I just got a "Card Mailed" email. I never received or seen this type of email before, so hopefully TSC is REALLY sending the card this time.
Anyone else who received bazillion CPO's, did you receive a "Card Mailed" email? |

To everyone who has been waiting for more (or close to) 60 days, I would suggest filling out Form 701 as mentioned above. At this point, calling USCIS and making InfoPass appointment yield no result.
I personally have called USCIS numerous times (7 times? I don't recall) in the course of 45 days and made an InfoPass appointment. The result? "...wait for another 30 days..." crap from USCIS. |

All,
This is truly an interesting twist! I also received the email for the FIRST TIME that CPO is now July 29. So this is the THIRD TIME USCIS CHANGED my CPO date: 05/28, 06/30 and now 07/29.
However, it seems that it has some impact from the CIS Ombudsman call:
I joined the conference call with CIS Ombudsman on 07/29/08 as described in the previous thread (http://www.ilw.com/immigdaily/digest/2008,0721.shtm). Each participant have 2 minutes to speak up their mind and USCIS representative was listening in. Here's what I found out from people who speak out:
1) Texas Service Center
90% of people complained about DELAYS SPECIFICALLY with TSC, ranging from I-140, I-485, FBI name check, etc. Some guy complained that the name check was delayed for over 6 months!
2) CPO but no card received
I was the ONLY one in the call that talked about this issue. The CIS representative was surprised that:
- USCIS kept on delaying sending the card by changing the date
- USCIS did not provide an explanation other than telling me to "wait another 30 days"
To MY surprise, the CIS representative seems to be UNAWARE of this particular problem.
To that end, the CIS representative told me to report this problem to CIS Ombudsman office using form 7001. They will assist and contact USCIS and USCIS MUST respond to this problem within 45 days.
I STRONGLY urge anyone having CPO issue to file form 7001. If CIS Ombudsman received LOTS of form 7001 with the SAME problem, they will act on it. HEre's the details on filling out the form: http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/programs/editorial_0497.shtm
I am filling one now. It's better than waiting for ANOTHER 30 days again and again. |

Same here. No CPO but cards in mailbox on 7th day after 'Welcome notice sent" message
Yup, because yours is NEbraska.
Maybe we should create a new thread called "Texas Service Center CPO - join the club". :) |

Thanks for the nice word, anotheraugfile.
Problem is, many people in this THREAD experience MORE than 1 month wait without any reason for the TEXAS service center.
In my cases, USCIS just kept on changing the CPO. Here's a recap of my case:
- May 28: CPO
- 30 days passed, no card
- Called 3 times before advised to make InfoPass
- June 30: date of CPO CHANGED
- July 3: InfoPass visit, IO created a Service Request to expedite the card and gave me a SR number for this. Told to call within 3 weeks
- TODAY: 3 weeks has passed, called IO and told to wait 60 DAYS.
No explanation, nothing.
For people like me who received both Welcome and Approval Notice but not the Card Production Orderd Notice. Please DO NOT panic (I was really panicking over the weekend). Below is my approval timeline. Hope it will help people in the same situation.
Center : Nebraska
07/14 - Welcome New Permanent Resident Notice (CRIS)
07/17 - Approval Notice (CRIS)
07/18 - Soft LUD
07/21 - Physical Welcome New Permanent Resident Notice (I-797C) and phycal card (included in I-797D) received in mail.

lanwarrior,
Do we all, stuck in this situation, together unite and send a letter to the Senator/Congresman/USCIS Director?
What do you all think about that.
Our case have lot in Common.
1. Cases Approved
2. Cases adjudicated in TSC.
3. No definate answers given to us. Every time it changes when we talk to an IO
4. Wait already near 60 days or more
5.Anything more you can come up with we can mention
I agreed. We need to get involvements from the higher ups. Err.. did the Senator "proclaim" he/she will look into this or we just send a letter to local Senator? Diane Feinstein (CA Senior Senator) is quite pro-immigration. |
