Topic: RFE from CRIS today (EB2-NSC)

IMHO when they rehired you that was a new recruitment and should have been based on your experience as of that moment. so you should be fine! let us know what your attorney says.

Topic: VERY VERY IMPORTANT -- Please Call and Call Again

It is in the eye of the beholder!
No downside for us- but "they see it differently.
CHC thinks that keeping pressure on EB will hasten CIR, and allowing any relief will lose them leverage. They may be more sympatheitic to this bill since it has FB too- who knows?

Lamar Smith and co. (the "right" pubs) don't want to anger their base by increasing GC numbers howsoever one-time or justified it may look. Their base thinks we are all trash, one way or the other, and elections are-a-comin' :-)

Topic: VERY VERY IMPORTANT -- Please Call and Call Again

you are pardoned sir enduring :-)

wasn't trying to belittle the "how does it affect me argument", just wanted to point out straight off that if you are current it does not actually affect you (not as in you personally- it was someone else's question!).

the recapture is meant for the categories that suffered because of the wastage, so 90K odd are reserved for FB and 140K odd for EB. none of it goes for any undocumented workers. 140K, based on the last experience is enough to make every category current or close to it. last time round USCIS too several years to use it all, but for that duration there was no retrogression.
so i guess it does help those of us in the backlog. may i now humbly request your support? :-)

and thanks for bumping the thread...yes, did notice your efforts!!

it does not, you are current anyway. your only holdup is processing time.
that is not the case with many of us though.

if you feel like spending 10 minutes for the good of other people stuck in the system, do it. if not then that's perfectly fine.

You do mean "legislative branch". The executive branch is the President and his administration.

A look at the 2007 Ombudsman report suggests that (ballpark- don't have exact figures on hand) about 90K are family based recapture and 140 K are EB recapture. Do not know how they will be distributed but last time there was a recapture of substantial numbers every category became current for about 3 years. So hopefully if it can go through everyone will benefit.

Topic: J1 visa and I-485 pending question

immigration suicide is a good word for it- assuming a 2 yr HRR
otherwise a waiver is easier to get.

anyway it's not a dual intent visa, so no.

please don't if you don't want to. i frankly don't give a damn.
just stop opening these discussions.
or in this case bringing january discussions to life so that pappusingh can do his usual.
stick to what trackitt does. ignore the rest. those that want to will go to iv.
those that don't or won't- will not. end of story. and no soap opera either.

Dear pappusingh (what an apt name),

This is a January thread that you have brought to life just to satisfy your ego. Please spare us.

Your reality is now public. You can pretend this is not you, and even if we were to believe you, you are likely no different. Stop acting pious and innocent and stop harassing people everywhere, on iv and here and wherever else.
Please, please, we have enough problems. Let us deal with real stuff not spoilt children.
