Topic: Physical Card and Card approval copies tracker

Here is my approval tracking information... hope this helps people who are tensed as what happens next after approval ....

On 12/05/2008 - Got Card production ordered mail...
on 12/05/2008 - got welcome notice mail (after 2-3 hrs from above mail)...

On 12/09/2008 - received welcome notice in postal mail (courtesy copy original sent to lawyer)..

On 12/15/2008 - received actual green cards in the postal mail...

On 12/19/2008 - received email from CRIS - approval notice Sent....

Later lawyer received the approval notice (which is again the welcome notice - no difference at all)....

In all the situations.... it happened for both primary and dependent.

With gods grace, Happy ending of my long GC journey after 9+ years in US on H1b
Wish you all good luck and Happy New Year....

Topic: Folks who are waiting after RFE response, gather here...

I am in similar situation... I lost hopes...

Received RFE last week of June 08 and we were very very quick in responding with all that requested docs, hoping they might approve soon. My RFE was missing vaccination in medical and extensions of H1 status since 2007..

My RFE response was sent to NSC & received on July 11th 08. Status changed to "Evidence recd and case processing resumed.." there were LUDs for 1 week immeditely after that...

No approval yet... :-(

My friend got RFE for birth certificate for his wife, he replied exactly 1 week later than me (NSC) and it was approved in exactly 1 week...

so I was even confused as why they don't process first in first out....

I slowly lost hopes and don't expect anything soon... its all luck....

Topic: Linking the EB dates

Add me to your group: here is my story
Applied 140 in Jan 2007 with EB2 and priority date 09/2006 (PERM)
applied 485 in July 2007 (VB Fiasco) with the above pending 140...
got cleared my old Labor from BEC and so,
applied 140 in Oct 2007 with EB3 and prioirty date of 12/2002.

Both 140's approved on Nov 15th with same priority date (2002).. that was the only good thing in this journey..

Recently got RFE on medical vaccination and replied on july 11th 2008... it has been 3 weeks and No approval yet...
Other people who got RFE and replied were approved in just one week..

My doubt is though the priority date is ported, is my application considered in EB2 or EB3 ? I guess that is the only thing stopping my approval.. any inputs greatly appreciated..

Topic: Finally Green !!!

Hi cdma,
Congratulations and please give your opinion on my case (it is similar to interfile).
Applied 140 in Jan 2007 with EB2 and priority date 09/28/2006 (PERM)
applied 485 in July 2007 (VB Fiasco) with the above pending 140...
got cleared my old Labor from BEC and so,
applied 140 in Oct 2007 with EB3 and prioirty date of 12/20/2002.

Both 140's approved on Nov 15th with same priority date (2002).. that was the only good thing in this journey..

Recently got RFE on medical vaccination and replied on july 11th 2008... it has been 3 weeks and No approval yet...
I got hard LUD next day (Doc recd status) after I sent, 2-3 luds in a row after that in a week and stuck there since then ...
my friend from same compay sent his RFE 1 week after me and got approved in a week... i am waiting from 3 weeks..

My biggest doubt is.. My RFE was recd and had Luds 3 times in a week (like my friend) but my case is not approved yet...
Is this because my case is treated under EB3 and is waiting for a visa number... lot of EB3 cases are also processed and sent RFE though they are not current... they process based on recd date...

During my 485 filing, I used EB2 pending 140 at that time... but who knows what the system updated when my both 140's (EB2, EB3) were approved... it might have overwritten with last one (EB3)

How did you send reminders to USCIS for interfiling..? I mean, by fedex mail or Faxing ? which is better and what should my attorney mention when they send the reminder ?

Please give me as much info on the content of sending reminder for interfiling...

Thanks in advance,

Topic: LUD's on I-485 after Responding to RFE

Hi,
I am in exactly same situation as yours.

EB2 - PD current

I-485 RFE on 6/26/08
Replied 7/10/08
Recd by them 7/11/08

LUD 7/14, 7/17,7/18

same on dependents too..
Nothing after that...
waiting curiously for status to be approved...
thanks...

Topic: Green Card and leaving employer!

That is interesting topic.... but can anyone of you answer why the AC21 rule is there ? In AC21 before you get your GC, (after 180 days passed of applying) , the law permits to change job and work for other employer... then clearly there is no intention to work for the petitioning employer....
To me, the interpretation of the law is very vague.... If they want to put us in trouble, then can anyways... again each officer has his own interpretation too...
anyways, moving after getting GC is safe.... but AC21 rule (which is good for us) is somewhat conflicting....

Topic: Nightmare due to different A# in I-140 and I-485

Please give your opinion on this situation.

I have two I-140's by same employer. One is EB2 and other EB3. These were based on two labor certs (one traditional and PERM).

I applied 485 with EB2 I-140 receipt (since it was pending and not approved on that day).

After some months, both I-140's got approved with same priority date..

Luckily, I got same A# for all of the 140 and 485.

My priority date is current since April, May based on EB2. While EB3 is not current.

My 485 should be approved based on my Eb2 140 case. But I don't see any LUD's on my cases.
Nothing happened so far.

I am wondering if their system is looking at my case based on EB3 and not EB2 or what... I am confused.

Please help. Thanks...

Topic: Whats wrong with Nebraska Center

Did anyone notice that all the approvals we see from past one week or more are from Texas only... (I am happy for those who are approved)... but how come there is no approvals at all from Nebraska especially for India EB2 ...
is it just coincidence that people who posted here are from texas SC..
Did anyone observed from other forums abt approvals from nebraska ??
any ideas, thoughts...
