You cant tell from the receipt number. The category says c26, which indicates H4EAD.

Did they finally mail it? I got the approval notice and the effective date is a week back(date of approval), but no card in mail yet - so I am approved to work but cant work without the card. Did you call to expedite?

Yes, COS to H4 is one of the lowest priorities for USCIS and it did not matter earlier, but now with H4EAD its different. Definitely better to go out of the country and get it stamped.

Does your case history indicate card production or mailing?

From https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDis...

To check processing times for your type of application, petition, or request, you will need to know:

The office where the form is being reviewed;
The type of form; and
The date on which USCIS received the form

So I am assuming the clock starts from date received.

Choose VSC and check the Processing Times, it says on top:

Important Information About Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
You can now submit inquiries about the status of your Form I-765 after your case has been pending more than 75 days.

With God's grace my wife's EAD was approved today.
Vermont,
Application Filed: 25 Jun 2015
USCIS Received Date: 26 Jun 2015
USCIS Notice Date: 30 Jun 2015
Approval Date: 07 Aug 2015
USCIS Receipt Number: EAC1590713xxx
She had an EAD earlier on F1 and recently converted to H4.

Good luck to all who are in queue, may the killing wait be over soon.
Thanks to everyone who supported and worked to make this rule happen. Without this I would have likely left the country.

Yes, that is correct. Look at the last few pages, someone posted a link to initiate the request.

Its frustrating, but technically they have 90 days, anything less than that is good luck. We cant really hold them accountable for not processing applications in sequence as we do not know the inner workings.

Perhaps USCIS was expecting more DACA/DAPA applications on the west coast and hired more resources, now those resources are processing H4EAD applications quicker than VSC. Anyway, I am VSC too and hoping they will pick up pace soon.

My understanding is H4 and H1 will get premium processed, but H4EAD will not be considered as there is not premium option - so it should sit in queue with other applications.

That said, I am scanning ranges and I see some approvals in ranges as high as EAC1590710xxx - can't really tell if there is any specific category that gets higher priority.

VSC is indeed dragging their feet. I applied in late June and since they started premium processing for H1B I have a feeling June applications will take some time.

Hello friends,

if I am sending the application by USPS Priority Mail Express, can you please confirm the address below is the right one? The word 'Express Mail' seems ambiguous.

For Express Mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

2501 S. State Hwy. 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

Guys, lets agree on #I140EAD_AP , no other special character will be considered as a part of the hashtag.

Twitter allows only numbers, letters and _ in hashtags, so #I140EAD_AP is the only solution.

Guys, I have been following this forum and tweeting for I140EAD for some time. RIN 1615-AC05 is a big step, so deciding on a direction for the campaign at this time is important.

As some other members have proposed, lets come up with a good twitter hashtag.

I140 should be a part of the hashtag, and the words EAD and AP should also be included to stress demand. While the rule does not talk about AP, "provide relief to workers facing lengthy adjustment delays" may indicate AP+AOS.

Based on the above, #I140EAD_AP should be sufficient for now - what do you guys think?

Folks, lets not waste energy on trolls. Please tweet your support for DHS/USCIS regarding the lawsuit. Our show of solidarity with DHS is the least we can do.

What I understand from the following -

A primary purpose of this rule is to help U.S. businesses retain the H-1B
nonimmigrants for whom they have already filed an employment-based immigrant
petition. Expanding the rule to help nonimmigrants in other situations does not directly
support this goal.

is that you cannot apply for H4 EAD based on the fact your H1B was not selected in the lottery(assumption here is the spouse does not have an approved I-140, which should be the other situation mentioned). I do not see any issues if you have an approved I-140. But again, this is my two cents and I am not a lawyer.
