For anyone that's still around from the early days of this topic, and cares....2 months later and I finally got my CPO email....let's see if it's all plain sailing from here.

Quick update from me, I'm pretty much in the exact same situation as "khk2008", with an original approval notice date for my i-485 from TSC of 6/10/08, no CPO, and still awaiting for physical greencard. Called TSC using "POJ method" several times, and heard different things each time but basically there are problems with finding my biometrics (my case was transferred from WAC to TSC, so I'm guessing in the same boat as other TSC cases that were transferred and biometrics went missing). My lawyer visited the USCIS and discussed my case, and was told that they had my biometrics, they sent an email to IO at TSC to jump start my card production. Today I called the "202" customer assistance number referenced above, and they told me they would email TSC to inquire about the delay in my case. After doing that (because I want to be a pain in their ass) I just called the USCIS again but got through to the CSC because I think I used the wrong sequence, and they opened a case inquiry because I fall outside processing times. After that I called USCIS (again, because I want to be a BIG pain in their ass) and got through to a TSC IO who told me that my bios are still missing, but is going to forward to her supervisor so that they can contact WAC (California Service Center, where case was originally filed) to see if they can upload the BIOs again so that I don't have to go back to my local ASC for a new biometric appointment.

Arrgghh....

This is getting ridiculous:

So after yesterdays post, I found my original ASC biometrics appt notice, took a chance and went over today (even though I was told to go only on Saturdays) turns out they were quiet so it was ok. They initially shook their head at me for turning up with an old appt notice, but the supervisor did some research on it, called me into his office, and showed me my bios and pictures in the system. He said they are lazy in TSC and just don't want to do the work. He said he would process me with a "code 2" anyway, which was just an index finger print, picture and signature.

So I called the TSC when I got back, and they still said bios are missing, I told them about my experience at ASC and they didn't really know, but said they would initiate a search to IT for my bios.

Then a few minutes ago I get a CRIS email that my status has reverted to: "On September 27, 2007 we transferred" bla bla bla, saying they transferred my case to Texas, which I knew. So I called TSC again, spoke to same IO as earlier. She said that they case was still approved, but that they are scheduling me for a new biometrics appointment. So I just have to wait for that to come in the mail.....

Is anyone else hitting dead ends in trying to get the TSC to track down their biometrics?

It's now more than 30 days past my approval notice date, so I just called the TSC using the POJ method. Got through to a very rude and unhelpful IO who hung up on me and I called back and got her again. My case is still showing that my biometrics images are missing, therefore holding up my GC production. When I called 2 weeks ago they said they initiated a search, but either they didn't, or didn't find them, but don't know either way as there are no notes on the case. She refused to re-search, and told me that if I have the original appointment notice for biometrics I can walk into the processing center on a Saturday, explain the situation and have them re-done. I told her I was not sure where the letter was, and she offered to send me for a new biometrics appointment, but I declined this for now as that could take weeks. I'm going to look for the biometrics appointment notice at home first. Does anyone know if we keep this or if they take it off us when we go for the appointment? I'm not sure if I still have it....

Thanks texasniw. I just called using the "POJ Method" (does anyone have any idea what POJ stands for by the way?) and after listening to a recorded voice saying over and over again "your wait time will between 5 and 10 mins" I got onto a very helpful IO at the TSC, who after quickly reviewing my case told me that they were missing biometric info for my case. I completed biometrics last November, so provided her with this info. She triggered a search for my biometrics, which can take up to 48 hours. She took my number and told me they would call back to let me know. If they cannot locate my biometrics, I will be called for another appointment, if they can, they will issue the card. Here's hoping I don't have to re-do biometrics. I think its ridiculous that all of the cases with these problems are just sitting there until we call to trigger the search.

Congrats texasniw! I am in the exact same position as you were, with the same dates (see below). How did you manage to get through to Service Center directly? I just called the 1-800-375-5283 and got a very unhelpful agent who clearly was just reading protocol off a screen and didn't know anything. He told me to wait 60 days and then call back. How does one get through to an IO at a specific service center? Thanks! Congrats again.
