Topic: EB2 RoW: PD 03/2004, RD 02/2008 - 485 approved (140 pending)

Today morning I received the 'Welcome Notice', so the 485 is approved - the 140 is pending. .

Check with your lawyer/employer. I was in the same boat but I found out that they had my approval. My status still has I140 pending yet I have a copy of the approval.

Congratulations. Enjoy the freedom.

Topic: Which one happens First?? Email,Mail or Online status change.

Guys, who got there 485 approvals....... which one happend first?
1. Email from USCIS.
2. Status Change Online.
3. Letter in Mail (usps).

Thanks in advance.

All that matters is the I485 approval. The rest are details and they don't matter. My guess is that change of status online triggers an email afterwhich you get a letter.

my i140 was approved resulting in a soft LUD but i've never received the email and its still pending online.

Topic: I-140 approval status not updated online

I finally received my approved I-140 while my online status shows case received and pending. Looks like USCIS is struggling with data entry.

Topic: Green Green Green!!

Yes I am very happy and a bit stunned, but I don't think reality will set in until I actually receive the card in the mail and it is in my hands

Congratulations.

Like yourself I'm still in awe regarding my GC. I was expecting my I140 to be approved at the end of the year and my AOS sometime next year. At times I feel like it is a dream. I didnt realize how badly I wanted the GC until I got it.

Topic: Calling USCIS, attorney and checking status online does not help

greengo,
You should be fortunate not to be from India/China. Besides, EB GC is becoming more and more of an issue of fate and luck. Finally, it is wrong to tell people not be anxious after seeing unfair practices of USCIS. There is nothing wrong to be patient just like there is nothing wrong to question an unfair practice. I hope you agree with me.

Ofcourse, sometimes people tend to over react a bit but thats ok I guess.

most of the people i work with who've gotten their GC fast are from India and Europe. EB2 and EB1s mostly. On the other hand there are a few who check their status daily, call the attorney all the time and they are now stuck in the USCIS mess. I guess not being from India or China helps.

All I'm trying to say is that the GC process is not easy. Be patient and pray for the best. It always works out for 90% of the people. All is well that ends well.

I worked for 4.5 years before I could apply for GC. Add that to 3.5 yrs wait and you have 8 years.

I know my GC is approved, but not once did I ever call USCIS or the attorney. It took me 2.5 years for my traditional LC to be approved and another 1 year for the GC. May be it's because I was not anxious that my case was approved prior to the processing dates.

I've seen the same behaviour at my place of work. Colleagues who were less concerned had their applications approved in a record time. While those who keep calling the lawyers and USCIS have been stuck in the system.

My advice. Be anxious for nothing. Relax, in due time you will get your green card. Good luck to everyone and God speed.

Topic: I got my GC but I-140 still pending......................

How come it says I 140 case received and pending.

When I enter my I 140 case number it says: Document sent to applicant. I guess the EAD?

I copied the text from the website exactly as it is.

Topic: I got my GC but I-140 still pending......................

My I-485 application was approved and I have already received my green card. My attorney has not received my I-140 approval and it is still pending according to the online USCIS portal.

What should I do?
