Topic: I-9 after GC

Anybody knows If my company should re-file I-9 (Employment Verification Form) after I got my GC. I got my GC on 10/01/09 and still working with the same company. Is there any thing I should do like updating my info in Social Security Office or TAX info. I already have a SSN when I was in H1B Visa.

Thanks

M. Khan

Topic: Social security contribution refund?

If I leave USA after more than 10 years of working with enough credits (say 40+ ) and if I maintain a US checking account, would that be possible to collect my SS befefit from back home when I will meet age requirement let's say 62 years?

Topic: RFE on Premium Processing I140

Hello all,

I upgraded my I-140 to PP on July 2nd and received RFE on 07/09. Please see my profile for details. I am in EB2, I140/I485 concurrent.

RFE as follows:

“Submit evidence that the beneficiary obtained the required education before July 9th, 2008, the priority date. Evidence of education must be in the form of an official record or transcript showing the dates of attendance, area of concentration of study, and the date of award, if any. If the degree is non specific, such as business administration, transcript must be submitted to show the major area of study pursued.”

Apparently it's a straight forward FRE. In the original application lawyer already submitted my master's transcript and Diploma from US university in Texas and B.Sc Engg (in Civil Engineering) transcript and diploma from back home. I don't know why they are asking again? Is that possible those document might be missing from their side?

There is another issue though. Both my masters diploma and transcript says, I have M.Engg degree but I didn't mention area of concentration which is Civil Engineering in my case. Do you think that could be the reason for RFE?

Anybody who received the similar RFE plaese share your thought. Should I just send transcript again or do something extra like get a letter from Dept. chair or Intl admission office of my US university saying that I have master of Engg degree in Civil Engineering concentration.

Please share your knowledge.

Thanks,

mmjkhan

Any body knows H1B extension filing address. I think for extension case we have to file to California center no matter where your work place is. Can anybody verify this info.

Thanks
