Topic: Traveling to UK - SEP 2008 to DEC 2008

My primary skill is Oracle Application DBA/Oracle core DBA/Production Support Oracle DBA. I am currently in USA and the call I got from UK end client was a primer. He asked my current location and when I could fly to UK for f2f interview. I said sometimes on Sep, he seems not interested and told me in couple of business day he will let me know. But my purpose is served, my cv will work in UK.

Topic: Traveling to UK - SEP 2008 to DEC 2008

I am planning to apply for EC on 1st week of OCT and planning to travel to UK on NOV 1st week. Can anyone advise me whether NOV is right time to come to UK? I am monitoring UK job sites regularly and I have noticed there are quite a lot job openings for my skillset. I posted my resume also to UK job sites just to verify the quality of my CV and whether it will work in UK or not. I am getting response (few not much) from consultants and also I got a call directly from end client for face to face interview.

Initially I decided to travel UK on end of Jan,09 but now having a second thought whether to travel on Nov 1st week. Can anyone advise me?

Thanks
Sanjit

Topic: UK market

Hi worriedmr,

I am currently in USA for last 1.5 months and I see job market is bad here too. You said to opt for contract jobs rather than permanent work, do you think without UK exprience people can get contract jobs? Also for contract jobs do they ask for face to face interviews?I am planning to come UK on last week of January, is it good time to come?

Thanks
Sanjit

Topic: Possible Glitch in Entry Clearance System for HSMP

Please maintain 2800 GBP for months and apply EC. If you do not have time, then continue saving 2800 GBP for 3 months and apply for new Tier 1 (General).

Thanks

Pelase check with chennai consultae. They stopped accepting money in joint a/c, better put it inti your single salary a/c.

Hey Ravi,

Get a printout of first email and apply for EC, you have to take a chance. You can not wait since your HSMP approval date is going to be expired soon. I am fortunate that I get sufficient time and transfer all my money to joint a/c to my salary a/c. I was about to finish 3 months period on 9th July.

Thanks

Topic: Joint Account Funds for EC --- Be Careful

Hello ravi,
I also enquired with chennai BHC and vfs-south and they responded back that they are not accepting money in joint a/c even if applicant is primary a/c holder. I should say that I am fortunate and I enquired when I have time to transfer all money from joint a/c to my salary a/c.

They are playing with our career, we have nothing to do.

Thanks
Sanjit
