A few words about me 
Hi, were are a family from England in the very early stages of immigation to Canada. Really enthusiastic and keen to get there but know we need to pace ourselves due to the processing times.

Yes we do have the same here in UK its known as recorded delivery but silly me did not think it would be necessary. So I suppose I only have myself to blame! live and learn hey!

filed the application at London, we already Know about frustration Royal mail lost mislaid our first application and it took them 12 weeks to return it , only for us to start all over again!
I do understand though what you are saying about being patient and thats its not in our control but seriously where else in the world would you hand over that sort of money without some sort of receipt.

Can any one tell me when i can contact CIC about recieving my AOR as it has now been 10 weeks.when I started the process it was mentioned as 12 weeks now they are saying 24, which one applies to me?

Hi,

Many thanks for your reply. We currently have a permanent resident application in progress but it's still very early on. We hope to be able to leave this running alongside if possible whilst out there on the temporary work permit. Do you think this is feasible?

Hi, have recently been offered employment in Canada on a temporary working Visa, employer has offered to sponsor me for this, can anybody tell me how long this should take? many thanks!
