Topic: Why do people get different notifications when their GC is approved ?

I did a bit research before posting this message.
I am seeing that some people get an email saying "Card Production Ordered" and some people get an email saying "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident." and some have "Approval Notice Sent".
Can somebody clarify how this works ?
Are you supposed to get all 3 notifications OR Is 1 notification enough ?
So far I have received only the "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident." on 9th June and a Soft LUD on 10th June, but I have not received any other emails nor any other change to my Online Status.

Topic: Green Card Approved - 06/09/08 - 1 day before EB3 India turns U

Folks,

I received 2 emails at 10.00 p.m last night for both (me and my spouse):

============================================================
Receipt Number: LIN07188XXXXX

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 9, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Case Status and Processing Dates.
*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.
====================================================================

It has been almost 7 yrs since I filed my GC on June 21st, 2001.
I see that the July Visa Bulletin is just out and thank god that I got approved yesterday, else it would have been another 3 months of wait.
My details are in Trackitt and also posting here:
EB3 - India (Original Labor)
PD: 06/21/01
RD: 06/11/07
ND: 06/20/07
AD: 06/09/08

Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. It did help me a lot.

Topic: 485 Approved but no job

Call USCIS and change your address. Then you can call later and file a Service Request saying that you have not received the actual Card.

Topic: Gosh darn RFE :-(

I am from India, but received an RFE on my case from NSC.
From the above emails, I am assuming that the RFE letter would come to the Applicant in mail and not to the Lawyers.
Can somebody please confirm ?
Also, how many days does it normally take for the RFE letter to arrive after the email ?

Thanks,

Motichor

Topic: Anyone seen LUD change on Spouse I485, but not on Primary I485 ?

I have been current for the last 2 months with a Stone Age PD (27-Jun-2001) at Nebraska Service Center.
We had no updates on our I485, since the Address Changes we had 7 months ago.
Today I see an update on my Wife's petition and since it is not on a Weekend, I am hoping it is not some systemwide update.
Has anybody seen LUD change to their Spouse's application without any change to their own ?

Topic: I moved to another state, will my I-485 move as well?

I moved from Florida to Texas 6 months ago. My application is filed at Nebraska and it is still there. So far nobody has contacted me of moving my application to TSC. I moved 7 months ago.

Topic: I got my gc today, EB3 INDIA, 2001 pd.

Congrats Sumakar.
I also wish Nebraska now wakes up and starts approving EB3 India from June/July 2001.
It looks like in the last 2 weeks Texas has started approving EB3 India from the above PD filed in June 2007, but so far not a single approval from Nebraska.
It looks like Nebraska is approving all EB2 India and Texas is approving all EB3 India.
