Topic: Expired verison of Form I-765 is available through USCIS Website.

Did anyone notice that the current blank form available from USCIS Website for I-765 expired on 8/31/2008, i have to file the renewal for my spouse within the next few days and i am unsure whether to use the expired form or wait for USCIS to update the form.

Any comments or views are much appretiated.

Thank you

Topic: time period for I 131 approval

needinfo:

Expect an approval message in the next 4-5 days, from what i have seen the soft lud is for the actual internal approval when the IO approves the application, the message changes to approval online when the AP docs are printed at the service center. so you should see an approval message by next thursday or friday.

Topic: LUD on I-131 application

The usual trend is an approval followed by a soft LUD. it might be about 4-6 days after the SOFT LUD to see the approval message.

Topic: What's happening at NSC??

they seem to be random it seems at NSC, i have seen approvals as early as 21 days for the receipt numbers near by 765 renewal and mine took about 60 days, did u e-file or paper file ??

Did u e-file or paperfile ?? there has been a trend that paper filed apps are approved faster. call NSC on tuesday and try to expedite

Topic: AP Checklist

It seems pretty clear what documents to send for the primary applicant who is currently on H1 and requested the AP document to be renewed.

Can someone also point out the documents to be sent for the Spouse ?? i am assuming its pretty much the same documents but i am not sure if any documents related to the primary applicant are to be included in the spouse application packet to be sent to USCIS ??

Any input would be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Topic: From Murthy.com EB2 India "Unavailable"

D. INDIA EMPLOYMENT SECOND PREFERENCE HAS BECOME “UNAVAILABLE”

Despite two retrogressions of the India Employment Second preference cut-off date, demand for numbers by CIS Offices for adjustment of status cases has remained extremely high in recent months. As a result the annual limit for the India Employment Second preference category has been reached, and the category has become “unavailable” effective immediately.

Topic: IT WORKS!!!

My Wife's EAD has been pending for almost 6 months and we are July 2nd Filer.

Called the USCIS today using the POJ method mentioned here and the IO said she will have to call back the file from the filling facility or something and have the supervisor approve it and send it for Card Production after that.

as usual we are being told to wait for 30 days and will have to check how that goes.

i am not very hopeful but the IO did say that this has been happening a lot recently that the system doesnt get updated even if the case is updated and then the case is sent out to the filling facility.

Looks like they might have approved the case but FORGOT to send the card....

This is ridiculous.

Topic: Unbelievable incompetence of USCIS

USCIS is becoming is a master of screwing things up, so at this stage nothing surprises me. anything they do right just seems astonishing (which is very rare). my spouse has been waiting for the EAD after getting the application to the USCIS on July 2nd and there are no signs of EAD with the case status "pending" for about 6 months now

Topic: Badly stuck in the EAD "Pending" Stage

Is anyone still stuck in the "Case Received and Pending" status for EAD filling from July 2nd ?? Myself being the primary applicant received the EAD about 2 months back but my spouse's EAD is still under "Pending" status.

Took an Infopass appointment on 11/21, where the IO was least interested in doing anything, just shrugged the shoulders that "Oh its a July 2nd case, and we are still processing everything till July 3rd, wait for 30 days", is about 30 days today and the situation is still the same "pending"

It took a long call with the CSR - Manager (good for nothing ppl) to have them forward the call to IO (by the way it seems like they have very strict instructions about not to send the calls to IO's, the CSR - Manager kept saying she cant forward the call and there is no way she can send the call to IO, and eventually she gave in to my yelling and forwarded it to the IO), The IO seemed understanding enough and asked me a straight question "Do you want to expedite the process for EAD?", I was like "Yes Sir", he was nice enough to open a Referral (or Service Request, whatever they call ) on 12/11.

Its about 30 days from Infopass and about 10 days from the time they opened a SR, but NO LUDS so far.

Anyone in the same boat or any recent experiences with such a case of yours ?? any information would be much appretiated

Thank you
