Hi
I have got my visa dates changed (from 13th august to 10th september) as below:
Got EC on 15th august.
Collected the passport: 19th august
submitted for correction: 20th august
passport sent back to vfs : 25th august
collected the passport: 27th august.
Wish good luck to all for their Tier1 application...

thats good. i think it will take 9 days around for me since i applied from bangalore and it has to go to chennai bdhc...
where from did u apply and they checked what date you mentioned on teh application form(date of travel) is it?

the visa person may / may not consider our request and we will know that while receiving the passport back...its what the bdhc person told me. it will take around 4 working days for them to get back. but i applied from bangalore and so will take around 8 days i presume.
where from did u apply?

Think our timelines are similar.
I applied for EC on 23rd July and the visa stamping was on 13th august. I had requested for post dated (10th september)but that was not considered. i have submitted my passport again today for consideration, as i will not be traveling immedietely.
lets see what happens. anyway they will not cancel the visa, so will see how it goes.
what was your requested post dated visa date?

I've got the visa 16 working days after submitting my application on july 23rd...Just went and collected the passport today morning. No idea about any integra checks...
But i requested for post dated visa (to start from september 10th) and they issued from august 13th itself...i just now checked with the BHC in chennai, they regret the same & say that i can submit my passport again and the officer may change the dates as requested. But its not guaranteed.
Does anyone has such a experience wherein your requested visa date is not taken into account?
I wanted a post dated visa bcoz i dont have a job offer yet and it may take a months time for that.

You would have recd a slip from vfs guys wherein you will find the ref no...use that in the 'track ur appln' option & give your DoB...It will show the status.

Thanks for the info Navin...I presume you paid by cash at the VFS, so they took 100 extra.
BTW, do we need copies of the last 6 month bank statements? I have taken copies for the VAF9 & Appendix forms.
Also, can we carry our mobiles there, looks like they dont allow many such gadgets?

Hi Tanya & others who might be applying from bangalore,
Can you give me some directions on where exactly the Visa office (i know its in infantry road) is located? any landmark / such directions would be useful.
also, is it not possible to go there without appointment? Will there be a lot of delay in that case? Kindly clarify.
I am planning to go to vfs tommorrow, so your reply would be of great value.

Hi Guys
One query on the visa fees for EC. I presume its Rs.17,000 (200 GBP @ Rs.85 per GBP)) right? Bcoz, right now, the conversion rate is going around Rs87.6 per GBP...Could you plz clarify on this?
And, those guys who applied here in bangalore VFS, can you give me some directions say, from MG Road, to the VFS office?
I know its Infantry road, Scotts annexe no.30, but any directions to this address if its a correct one, will be much useful.
