E-filing is a waste of time. If you e-file, you will probably get an FP notice so you have to make time to go there. It's best to just enclose everything in one paper application, send it off, and be done with it. You won't get FP notice if you paper file.

If I remember correctly, I think I came across that one time... so I basically lean on paper-based :)

Is there anyway to go directly to the service center where your case is pending?

Your Priority Date is June 2007... some people here at Trackitt have a Priority Date that dates back to 2002, 2003, etc. Way earlier than yours...

Biometrics.I think they will send you a notice for that again. You will have to do Bio's for EAD again
I have always done those.
So no old copy to be included.

A new biometrics for a new EAD? What happens to the first or previous biometrics that we've done? Not that its a big deal... I guess I'm just curious as to why you have to do biometrics again :)

Topic: Help on EAD Renewal

Hi,

I will write 'EAD Renewal' on the memo portion of my check too... just like you did :)

As per my current and/or old EAD, I will get it photo copied. This is the first time I will renew my EAD. Maybe its better to have it photo copied just like you did... maybe I'll send the B/W enlarged copy too. I don't see any harm in doing that. What do you think?

I will have the EAD slip-mailer photo copied and will include it as part of the documents. Have you ever included a photocopy of your biometrics notice as well?

Thanks.

You did not mention if it's e-filing or paper based. I am assuming it to be paper based. here is the list I sent and got the receipt notices recently.

1. I-765 filled application
2. A check of $340 payable to 'U.S. Department of Homeland Security'
3. photocopy of front and back of old EAD (I did color photo copies)
4. 2 pictures 2"x2" (pasport) (Write your full name and A# with pencil: A# should be same on I-485, I-765,I-131 and on old EAD)
5. photocopy of the EAD slip-mailer
6. photocopy of I-485 receipt (I did not send this, some people are recommending)

The address you sent depend son which state you currently reside in. Also, the address is different for express mailing and plain PO box mailing. Please read the instructions.I sent the plain one to Nebraska center

Along with the above I also send a copy of the latest I94.
and yes please do mention A 3 on pictures and send check along with the application. I also write EAD renewal and my A# on the memo portion of the check.

Hello,

Yes, you are right. I'm sending it paper-based. The following are the items I'm going to send. Kindly please check... I also have some slight additional questions on some of them:

1. I-765 form filled application
2. A check of $340 payable to 'U.S. Department of Homeland Security'. Do I really have to write EAD renewal on the memo portion of the check?
3. Photocopy, front and back of my current (old) EAD. I didn't do color photo copies... but I had it enlarged a little bit so that the writings are clearer... do you think that will be OK and/or acceptable?
4. 2 passport size, 2x2 pictures. (I have to remember to write my full name and A# at the back of it)
5. Photocopy of I-485 receipt notice.
6. What is the EAD slip-mailer? Is this the form where the actual (old) EAD card was attached when it was mailed to me?

Thanks so much for your help... I greatly appreciate it.

If USCIS receives an application without a check attached, it will reject the application. As the instructions clearly say, you must include the fee with your application.

Besides, there is no mechanism for sending a separate payment.

Thank you so much for your immediate and kind response. I just want to make sure I'm getting it right :) I plan to send the application thru UPS... on an overnight delivery.

Topic: Help on EAD Renewal

Hello,

I am about to renew my EAD card. All supporting documents (i.e., 2x2 pictures, etc...) are ready including the actual I-765 form. I've read the instructions and verified that I have to pay $340. My question is... do I have to put the $340 check along with the EAD form and supporting documents? Or will it be better to send the check separately? I just want to make sure that the check arrives safely at USCIS along with the corresponding documents. Please advice...

Thanks.
