Topic: Came across this petition

Nice work, Peterpan... You may want to use following email template for two EB related petitions.
===
Please sign these petitions to White house. We need 5000 votes to send this to White house and get a reply.

For Filing I-485 while dates are not current -
https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition...

For Legal Immigration backlog fix -
https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition...

It will be really helpful if you could forward this email and spread the word among your friends, relatives, colleagues and other known acquaintances who are awaiting for their visa numbers in Employment Based categories. Larger the number of people signing these petitions, there's a better chance of issue visibility and impact on the administration.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Topic: Asking to Visit Bombay consulate

Thanks for clarification.
Dude,

You need to change the Topic title to something meaningful; it is misleading "Asking to Visit Bombay consulate" while you're in Amman.

Good luck

Topic: Asking to Visit Bombay consulate

Hi,

First of all congrats on getting invited despite your H1B rejection for the first time. Your perseverance paid off.

Did the email specify whether you should visit US consulate in Mumbai? I believe they stopped processing H and L visas at Mumbai since March 2011. You need to reach out to VFS and confirm that just an email copy will work out as your "red carpet" entry. I think it should work fine.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Topic: What factors determine processing center for I-140application?

I would like to know what factors determine processing center for I-140 applications? I live in Texas but Corporate headquarter of my company is in MA. Will my application be sent to Texas or Vermont or somewhere else?

Gurus, please clarify.

TIA,
Nik

Topic: should I send my applicaiton to Buffalo now?

After applying for AIPNP, I sent out my passport for renewal since it is due to expire in early 2009. After getting the new passport do I need to just send a copy of new passport to AIPNP office or I will have to fill out amended form?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Nik

Topic: should I send my applicaiton to Buffalo now?

_ you have to pay for police clearance certificate, [I did get one last year from my home country as well as got fingerprint clearance but it seems they are no longer valid. I will have to go through the process again :( ]

_obtain birth and marriage certificates [I have them]

- medical exam fees [I guess - I can undergo medical exam only when I get medical forms from CIC ]

- the lawyer's fees if you use one [I haven't engaged any immigration lawyer]

Please keep posted on how thing go with your Federal application.

Topic: should I send my applicaiton to Buffalo now?

Thanks again calgaribound. I have already applied for Alberta PNP. My question regarding fees was specifically about Federal application. As you said fees is as applicable to skilled category.

First of all congratulations to you, calgariabound. I see that you are applying for CIC using under Alberta PNP. What is the total fees payable? Principal applicant, spouse and 2 children under 18 years. I am confused in finding this information on the CIC site.

Thanks,
Nik

Topic: 09/03/2008 - Apparent Huge PERM Audit Backlog Affecting "Liberal" Approach of PERM Application

Is the Audit being done for EB2 PERM cases only or applicable to EB3 as well? I failed to understand the criteria in doing case selections; probably it's just a random pick.

Topic: Approval time in Atlanta center since June 1st??

I have heard that starting June 1st, the electronic filing for PERM will be automatically taken to the Atlanta NPC, since it is the only center for PERM now. No PERM in Chicago anymore.

My assumption is that this will take longer time in PERM processing; given the history of backlog at Atlanta NPC and all PERM applications being moved to Atlanta NPC. I might be wrong if there are recent changes that has improved processing times at Atlanta NPC.

Does anyone know or have idea about the timeline to process EB3 PERM at Atlanta NPC?

Thanks,

Nik
