So did you recieve the letter from MO office or dallad district office, Does MO office knows you live in dallas, did not they transferred your file? |

Dallas district office, I have friend whose file was in el paso and got approved instantly as of 5th feb, by the way as of 3rd march my file has been sitting on adjudicator's desk so i assumned dallas district office has recieved the go ahead and will start approving shortly.(i know my file has been on adjudicator's desk becuase my attorney did an e mail inquiry and USCIS responded saying so) |

Deepak, Well either the officer who told you did not know what he was talking or he did not explained himself clearly but USCIS has this memorandum in detail on exactly what kind of background checks USCIS performs and how they perform on all applications, give me your e mail address and i will be more than happy to pass that on to you. Please stop spreading rumours that has misleading info. |

Very possible, lots of District offices use thier standard process which differ from their each other a whole lot. For eg when this memo came out on Feb 4 (New name check memo) a friend of mine whose case was pending just due to name check got approval notice dated feb 5th and when i went to infopass to my local office they told me that they recieved the memo but havent recieved the go ahead to do the final processing. |

I am aware of that and as per info i have USCIS does three kinds of checks 1)IBIS check 2) FBI fingerprint check and 3) name check, No other check takes more 72 hours besides name check |

Just spoke to my lawyer regarding this and according to him that applies for the people who will be filing new untill now whenever name check was not cleared they did not schedule the interview for them but as of now they will schedule them for the interview as of 180th day from the day the name check request was initiated. it does not apply to people who already interviewed. |
