Was this meeting that @kamakazee18 attended purely an IV event with the OMB or was it open for all? I am sure OMB cannot host selective meetings with groups and call them confidential. If it was a private meeting then in that is the case he might be bound by Non disclosure agreement of sorts or something. This also could be an attempt by IV to try and get traffic to IV website.

@kamakazee18, I will not ask you about what the timeline is for the rule and will not nag you about it. However, try and realize this that a lot of people look forward to your posts about information and hope to see the rule become a reality. You not answering questions has made a lot of folks uneasy.

If you are under an NDA, perhaps you can let people know so that they don't bother you.

You have worked a lot towards this rule and kudos to you for that. I personally really appreciate it.

Just a piece of advise: Just tell the folks here if you are under NDA.

More comments do not mean bad all the time and that stands for this rule as well. If you remember the comments period, there was a tool to determine which comments were useful and which ones were exact copies of each other.

As Kamakazee stated, along with the rule, they would have submitted a detailed report for the comments where they would have explained how they accounted for various types of comments. It would include comments with attachments, duplicates, positive, negative and more. Remember, a lot of people just said no amnesty for illegals in the comments. That basically made the comments invalid as the rule does not associate with illegals.

The lady at the OMB office is very helpful. Let's be nice to her. Tweeting is the best idea. Lets give OMB a week before flooding them with calls. We should still keep tweeting USCIS and WH.

We have the foot in the door, now is the time to push it open. Keep going guys!! Great work!!

It says right at the beginning "For all training purposes the call is being monitored and recorded". The word monitored is a very loaded word. ;)

I got an email from USCIS about the 20th Nov actions where the first para was about DACA and then they said if you were affected please follow the link.

If you think you may be eligible for one of the new initiatives, you may contact the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for assistance.

The National Customer Service Center (NCSC) is a toll-free phone service that gives customers throughout the country another way to get consistent, accurate information and assistance on immigration services.

Telephone Number: 1-800-375-5283

I called this number and was able to finally get an agent through the DACA line by pressing '*' and '6' (There may have been another '*' but I am not sure).

She asked me if I wanted to know about DACA or if I was an illegal. I answered no, my question is about the other actions that were announced.

She then asked me which action I was talking about. I explained it to her and then she went and asked her supervisor who directed her to say that they had no information about it and I should go and check the website. I tried to explain her about the rule and the dec deadline. However she kept on saying I should go to the website. Finally she got a little pissed at me as she was not able to give me answers and I kept asking questions.

Maybe a few of us (and only a few of us) can call and ask about the rule on the helpline. This will make the supervisors think of a better answer they could give. It would make the questions about this rule flow up the chain from the agents to the supervisors and hopefully someone will notice.

It has been a long frustrating wait.... hopefully there is an end to all this... a good one!!

He mentioned nothing about legals as expected. This was a very well rounded speech and he had a lot of context to cover. This does mean that there is a showdown on hands about immigration and the executive actions and it will continue. USCIS will keep working towards implementing them. The order may not work for everyone though.

We need to keep asking questions. The teleconference is one of the ways in which we can ask them. Pleas post your questions to the USCIS.

Also, today was a great example of our solidarity and hard work. Lets not stop tweeting. It was great to see everyone come together and work towards this cause. Keep asking questions to the USCIS and the WH. The more questions we ask, the more the probability that someone would notice and something may happen.

Hi Everyone,

I have been following this post for the last few years now. I did call the OMB office just now and they did not have any information about when DHS would send this rule over to them. She did mention that there should not be much delay once this rule is sent to OMB and for it to publish in the federal register.

I called Mr. Cummings's office right after. I had tried it earlier but the voicemail machine was full. However, today I was able to leave a message for him. I also sent him an email. His voicemail being cleaned up is a sign that his office is atleast checking and cleaning up things. Please keep calling him and send him emails.

Also, you could send emails to and inquire about this rule.

We need to keep the pressure on USCIS about this rule through every mechanism possible. Please keep tweeting and lets hope for the best.
