Topic: How to renew driver license while I-129 H1B extension pending?

In GA it is tough too. Thanks all for the information. It seems that tough states are not in sync with what documents USCIS provides. In my case, I am under an automatic extension of stay because of pending H1-B extension, and there is no official USCIS document will explain that status, except for their law and regulations (Title 8) which is not acceptable by the DMV.

I ended up obtaining an international license from my home country to get me driving legally while waiting for USCIS response to my case.
Thanks,
AA

Topic: How to renew driver license while I-129 H1B extension pending?

Hi,

My H1B status expired before receiving a decision on my H1B first 3-year extension application. DMV in Georgia refused to renew my driver license based on receipt notice. They need an approval or extension notice. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Ashraf

Topic: Why is Philadelphia Backlog center is much slower than Dallas Center?

I think with a closer look at the two centers, it seems that Pheladelphia BEC has applications more in time order than Dallas BEC. Even though Dallas BEC approves cases that are more recent, but it is not necessarily faster. The number of applications processed per month for both centers seem in the same range.

Hi,

Philadelphia Backlog Center is 8 months lagging behind Dallas Backlog Center. Does anybody know why?
