Topic: What emails/status do you get when 485 approved???

I got the greencard in mail yesterday. The approval and card order processed started last Monday (06/18) and I got the card on last Monday (06/25). It came very fast. It feels different to hold the card after a long time. Thanks for all your help and support. I will try to keep in touch with you and see if I can assist you anyways. Good luck everyone and you will receive it soon..

I hope Nebraska is the same way as Texas. I am not sure if they order the cards for both Texas and Nebraska from the same location! In that case it will be about the same as you indicated.

Thanks. It has been a longtime. My labor was stuck in the backlog center for more than 4 years. It's good to know that hopefully card will be arriving within a week. That's really good news.

Today I also got 2 emails (One for myself and other for my wife) from USCIS showing the I-485 status changed to Card Ordered. Looks like that means I485 is approved and cards are ordered. Hopefully it will be same like both of you. Finally the day came in my life after 6 years of waiting and I don't have any better way to express myself...

No. I don't have anything. Also my I-485 has been filed in Sep of 2006. USCIS Nebraska is now processing August of 2006. So they may not have reviewed my application yet. It may not be related to Namecheck. I was just curious to find out about the name check status. I read about FBI fingerprint status and name check status and did not know how long they usually take. I called the FBI office and they said that FBI fingerprint was sent in October of 2006. Don't know anything about the name check.

Topic: FBI name check

The FBI number is 304-625-5590. I think this number tells you about the finger print status when you tell them your A number. I am not sure if they tell anything about the Name Check status. Reading from previous discussions, I found out that you may have to make an infopass appointment with USCIS to find that out. I have asked the same question. We can see what experts says about the name check status.

Thanks for your reply. Looks like the FBI fingerprint has clear for my case. I am not sure how to find out about the name check status? Do I need to make appointment with USCIS or just wait till it has been a month after Nebraska process the I-485 applications after my filing date?
