rennieallen,

Thanks for your previous detailed post. You put it exactly right!
People here assumed too many things and start judging me crazy. I am rated for 160 mph and my car for 180 mph. I have never exceeded 160 except on the track (closed course) south of Fort Worth (nearly 100 miles away from my place). But it is too far and too expensive to go there all the time.
Yes, people are very ignorant in a lot things. So, that's why I don't pay attention to their ignorance here. They will never understand. I just saw an accident by two dumb ass wives driving at 50 mph... traffic was backed up for hours.

Also, thanks for clarifying the gun analogy too.

Thanks!

Is there a way to upload an image to this site? I'll upload my citation for people who don’t believe.

The cop was lenient on me because of several reasons. For one, I pulled over immediately and waited for him to come over behind me after the other guy (in corvette) sped away and did not pull over. I patiently waited for the cop to come back. The cop even said to me: "you could have just drove away". Then, it helps when a cop is a 22 year-old dude who also loves race cars. I was already preparing for the arrest. He told me he usually arrests for this. But because 1) there was no one on the road at 4 am, 2) I pulled over immediately and waited for him, 3) and jail was full (according to the cop), I guess he just gave me a fat citation. Believe me, it cost me a lot. Nearly $1,000.

For the guy with 2003 honda accord. Dude, your car with the factory package goes 147 mph max. With some rework, you can get to 160 mph max. Besides you should not do that on your car because your suspension does not support those speeds. You will lose control in no time. Also, don’t race because of anger or rage. This is not good. You should only do it on a cool head and you should know what you are doing. I had formal training on this as a sport.

BTW, I apologize for getting this thread into a wrong direction. All I wanted to know if I am still safe with my speeding problems with the law. I assure you I don’t endanger anyone on the streets. It is actually embarrassing to me that I got caught by police. None of my racing buddies knows about it. I am going to spend more money on getting more jammers all over my car (side and back) so that cops cannot catch me again.

Be safe!

So, then, why I have ZERO accidents in 16 years that I have been driving?? I've been speeding always (not as excessive as this time).
Maybe, einstein, I have totally different set of skills than an average driver?!!
Also, I don't do just everywhere. I only do it whenever conditions and road permit. When I clocked over 150 mph, it was 4 am and no one on the highway... just me, another racer, and a sleeping cop behind the bridge. So, don't worry you won't be harmed.
I wish I had a closed course track nearby. The closest is over 100 miles from my house and it costs ridiculous $300/h to take my car there.
And, BTW, I think all of you so-called "safe" drivers are morons who are the real dangers on the road. You cause accidents everyday!

I think if I would get arrested, then my 485 would be in a deep $hit. But because I lucked out in this case (somehow not getting arrested), I can probably get my 485 approved.

Thanks, buddies! I thought so too. We'll see. I have not told the attorneys yet. They are company's... My company may have an issue with me about speeding...

I bought earlier this year lexus IS-F. I am thinking to sell it now. I just can't resist not to drive fast on this one. 120 mph feels like 65 on this car. And, it accelerates so fast. It is good I did not get corvette ZR1 (supply is limited). then it could have been even worse. No radar, veil, or laser jammer helped me so far. They are all BS! You get tickets no matter what.

I have been depressed for months now due to ginormous wait for GC and poor economy.

On July 10, I had a bad day and floored the accelerator pedal. I was clocked by police laser at 156 mph. After holding me on highway for nearly an hour, they decided not to arrest me for reckless driving because (Thank, God) the jail was full in Dallas county!!!
I already paid a steep fine and they told me it is going to be on my record.

Now, what does it mean for my 485? Am I in a deep $hit?

P.S.: this is not my first speeding ticket. With this new ticket, I have also blown my probation for previous speeding. 91 mph on 45 mph road. Now, this one will also hit my record.

I've heard that USCIS does not look at traffic violations. Is this true???

Topic: Impact on EB3 from LC changing to PERM in Mar 2005

I hope so. I am still in the start of my second GC process. First one got messed up, as ironic as it is, because my company struggled with perm case. I had to transfer to another one. it seems to work, but it was tough.
