Congrats!

I don't understand - how did they let you open an SR despite the fact your RD is not 30 days outside of processing times?

are you stupid? Guru as used in this sense has nothing to do with Indian culture. I think it should be kept in it's original context.

Stop whining. Is it that time of the month again for you patiphone?

With all the sexist comments, I would start to think that Indian people are sexist in general. That would be a terrible shame. Any Indians here who are not sexist? (I personally know some Indians who are not, but they are not new immigrants).

I just don't like this usage here. Obviously if somebody knows the answer they would answer. It doesn't make them gurus. And obviously if somebody doesn't know the answer, they shouldn't answer. But this is a web forum, somebody might answer, pretending to be a "guru" and be wrong. Just ask a question. I don't get the need to flatter people with the title "guru".

No need for her past W2's etc as she is applying for AOS as your dependent. I don't think that's an issue.

Please don't use EAD if she has H1B. H1 is a safer bet for next 6 years for her. Once she uses EAD she will lose her H1 status and would have to return to H4 in an unlikely event that your GC does not work out.

Hope this helps.

Are you a Guru?

I know the literal meaning.

I'm just sick of this term in other things. There's no "Java Guru" and there's definitely no "Immigration Guru".. definitely not here, as there are no lawyers writing here.

It's an annoying usage of the word.
