Not sure whats that you are trying to prove with your messages, but as I said earlier, that I didnot know that there is tracker on this website. And regarding my other message.. if you enable filters for EB2-INDIA-485/140-Approvals then, you will see what I said in that message.

Seems like there are not many NSC folks here updating the Tracker with their case approvals. Looks like majority are with TSC. |

Is your friend also from UK? Do you know his case details and stuff like that? I think people from India/China are the only ones is seen having these problems of long wait times etc. In order to estimate those long wait times, applicants from these countries had to make these hypothetical analysis. As you said, its better if the whole process is transperant. Can you imagine 200,000 of immigrant visas were unused in the last decade? why can't they streamline the whole process? why its so traditional and manual? Anyways.. there is no point in talking this. I have been really tired of waiting for long time. |

Basically, here are the rules of extending H1b beyond 6-years:
One year H1b extension, if --
1. Labor filed and pending more than a year
2. Labor filed and approved but its more than a year since filing the labor (provided I140 filed)
Three year H1b extension, if --
3. Labor filed, approved, and I140 filed and approved -- doesn't matter over/under a year
4. Labor, I140 filed and approved, but I485 is pending -- doesn't matter over/under a year
Regarding other question -
* you cannot base on the date of mailing/receiving the application, you will need the receipt notice in the mail.
* If you had filed 485, you might have also filed ancilliary petitions like EAD/AP. One will gain the immigrant status (AOS) if he/she used EAD/AP for work/travel purposes.

- Why would USCIS call for the interview at their local office?
- Is it almost certain that, once the application is transferred to the local office, that results into an INTERVIEW?
