Topic: Filing I-485 on my own without my Employer's blessing

What is the point crying !!! You put yourself in such a situation by being ready to work with such companies . Have you ever heard the phrase "it takes two to tango" . If you are really talented in what it you do there are n number of companies to work for . If you have to take risks in life to succeed being scared in not an option. Typically you can nature of the employer within the first 6 months , you have chosen to stay 3 years with them !!!

Topic: I never expected this from USCIS

A green card approved when the priority dates are not current can be revoked later on . USCIS had done that in the past. Approved green cards when the date has not been current only to later ask the person to mail back his green card . There is even an article on this somewhere on murthy.com . Getting an approval when you are not supposed to receive one can come back to haunt the applicant later on . I would definitely talk to a lawyer.

Topic: So long folks, good luck to those still waiting :)

Some people do have a sense of humor. Born00Slippy. has been waiting only since Oct 2006 !!!! and is already frustrated .
That too with none of restrictions which employment based GC cards applicants have. You are free to work anywhere do anything. All you need to do is preserve you marriage . What about people who been waiting for GC since 8 - 9 years .

Topic: Must be with same employer after GC??? Who said that???

Whats the big deal sticking around with an employer for 6 months after getting GC especially if you have worked with them for
like 7- 8 years anyways. Unless they are really underpaying you so much. Which is something you have blame yourself for
because either you didn't market yourself well enough or you aren't that good a worker and so are ready to put up with a shady company.

Topic: Please guide me ...email from USCIS about my I-485 application

Doesn't really sound too strange too me . More than likely they have mailed you a letter asking for additional documents etc or evidence. If I were you I would safely assume my application has not yet been approved.

Topic: USCIS should approve May and June 2007 cases

umm whats new here ? USCIS is screwed up every knows that . FIFO is a joke anyways . We chose to be in this country , no one asked us to be here . I finally got my green card after 7 long years , went through labor certification 3 times !!!!!!!!! . Was it worth it , I definitely think it was . If I didnt think so I would have surely left the US long back . I am sure you must feel the same as you are still here and waiting !!!!!!!!

Topic: NC & Infopass experience in Atl

You were dumb enough to drink and drive what can I say . People have enough problems with the FBI name check having a clean record . Even the smallest of crimes like petty shop lifting can result in denial of immigration benefits . DUI is a serious crime in the USA . But people are ready to take the risk anyways by drinking and driving.

Topic: Is there any survivor who filed between Jan~May, 2007?

I applied in Feb 07 still waiting . Dont bother appling logic to how the USCIS works . I feel the IO just picks the file closest to his desk and starts working on it . So it could be something filed just in August and he may start working on your case .

Topic: AC21 180 days counts against I-485 or I-140?

180 days after date 485 was filed so 180 days after mar 2007 but with approved 140 , you can change jobs

Topic: A quick thank you and words of encouragement

Why are wasting so much time argument anyways . Its a moot point . Comprehensive Immigration reform failed . Illegals didn't get amnesty they were asking for . I also hate the fact that after waiting seven long years , including going through labor certification 3 times I still don't have my green card following all the rules .
Who said life was fair. This is a free country , but a fair country ummmmmmmmmm your guess is good as mine !!!

Congrats Mikey enjoy the freedom !!!
