Gurus,

Question - I am currently working with Company A with approved H1B till Dec 2019 and planning to move to another company B . if i file my transfer in premium and for some reason it gets denied.. can i still stick with my current employer (company A). I wont even inform him that i am moving out until its approved.

Let me know your thoughts.

Topic: Dubai Visitor Visa - Indian Passport with US H1B Visa

Hello,

We are planning to make a stopover in dubai while going to India next year. Question is can Indian Passport holders with valid H1B visa (both passport and visa valid for 2 + years) can avail on the arrival visa? Where ever i read it says valid US Visa (Greencard or student) https://www.visitdubai.com/en/travel-planning/tr... not sure if this means even H1B is eligble.

Did anyone recently made a travel and availed this option? please let me know your experience.

Topic: Is it good time to accept new FTE Position - Need suggestion

Experts...

Quick background, i am in GC line (EB2-I) with P.D as Dec 2011 in EVC model (H1-B) with Approved 140. Recently my client had big restructure so that they have to layoff all the contractors ... Luckily i got another position with different client (still with same employer).. Now i got a call from previous client that they wanted me to hire as FTE and sponsor H1-B with GC process in 3 months after joining..

Questions i have :
1. If i move to new client, i assume i can use my current Approved I-140 for further H1B extenstions until i get new I-140 . Am i correct?

2. My wife has H4-EAD based on current I-140, guess i can use the current I-140 for EAD extensions until i get new I-140.. Am i correct?

3. I have H1 and H4 Visa stamped with current employer till Dec 2019, i assume i can use it even if i change to new employer?

TIA .

Topic: H1B Transfer - H4 EAD Validity question

Can someone please help me to understand:

If I (Primary H1B Holder with approved I-140) jump to another company who will sponsor my H1B and GC, will my wife's H4 EAD be active or she has to wait till my new I-140 is approved. Currently she is working and we dont want to have any breaks for her.

i am in 9th year of H1B.

Appreciate any response.

Topic: Dropbox Experience - Chennai consulate

Hello,

I am currently in my 9th year H1B with approved I-140 and petition approved till Dec 2019. My visa expired on Oct 3 2015, planning for visit to India on Sept 2nd week. Since i am inside 12 months grace period for expired visa, i am eligible for Dropbox options.

Just trying to see if someone had recent experience with Chennai Dropbox option.

1. How long it takes to get the passport back
2. If they want us for interview, will it be scheduled immediately or need to wait?

Will be helpful for me and others if you can share your experiences.

Thanks and have a lovely day.

Thoughts???

I just got H1 and H4 extension approved. The effective date says Sept 22 2015. When i send the EAD docs, will it be good to send both (current and extended) i-797 ? Also, the EAD effective date will be from Sept 22nd or they might give it from the day they approve?

I agree.. it should be a new application. Though you can mention your previous EAD information in section 11
