Topic: Document courier / pick up

Hi Qumar,
Yes you are right. If you are applying from any country other than UK and India, you have to apply for HSMP only.

I should tell you that you are lukcy because the old rules are very good without the maintainence funds requirement so it is slightly easier to get the visa.

Topic: Document courier / pick up

Hi Qumar,
HSMP is closed in India now.you have to apply under the new Tier1 rules for which u have to send the passport because there is no separate entry clerance process under the new Tier1 rules.both granting the visa and stamping in passport happen at the same time.regarding sending the documents, send an email to info@mbesheffield.co.uk asking if they can deliver your documents without requiring a signature from HO.they are a courier company who collect documents from homeoffice for anybody withour a signature from them and send it to the applicants.i have used them myself but not sure if they can deliver the documents to HO without a signature...send an email and they will respond pretty quickly.

Topic: Visa Start Date

Hi,
When we apply for EC with a valid HSMP approval letter, what will be the start date of the VISA once it is stamped in the passport? is it from the date that a decision was made on your HSMP application or the date on which they stamp your passport. as you know, there can be a difference of 6 months between these 2 dates as the HSMP approval letter is valid for 6 months.anybody who has already got the EC stamped, please reply.

Topic: Document courier / pick up

hi Qumar,
Theoritically, it seems a nice option but unfortunately it doesnt work that way.now that you have to sendyour passport also along with documents, home office will easily find out whether u are in UK or in your home country.they would expect you to apply from your home country as they will have local consulate offices for the same purpose.if you follow your idea, then it is fooling homeoffice that you are applying from uk which they can easily find out and deny your application.
