I need to travel urgently to India and my AP online status shows approved but I have not received it in mail. Can I travel to India now and my wife is coming two weeks later and by that time we will recevie the AP in mail and she can bring it with her. Will that work? |

I just called cutomer service and the service rep told me that I need to do biometrics for advance parole and I will receive the appointment letter in mail. I am not sure whether I require or not? Does anyone has come across it? |

I have applied for advance parole on Nov 8th. I have received receipt notice but have not received approval yet. Any idea how long does it take for the advance parole to get apporved. I have to go to India on Dec 26th. I am worried if I don't get it before that then I will be in trouble. Is there any way to expediate the process? |

yes you have to send the copy of I-485 of your wife too. If you don't have one then your lawyer should have the original. |

My Husband is working for a private Firm. He has his H1-B(7th year) and GC filed from this firm. We have approved I-140 and I-485 pending more than 180 days. This Firm may be closed any time so we are worried. What are the chances? If he gets another job can he transfer H1-B? Or can he work on EAD for another employer? Can our GC application be still valid if the firm closes? |

If you think that if you tranfer your case to EB-2 (India/China) then you will get your GC fast? If so then you are totally wrong. There are EB-2 folks who are waiting since years... So don't give wrong info to others. |

I was in the same situtaion as yours. Applied in JULY 16 2007 and din't received it till 2nd week of sept 2008. I made many service requests but the same reply the case is under current processing time. So i called TSC through POJ method three to four times and gave my information to the IO and luckily I got one. So I would suggest to call TSC tru POJ method. |

I gave my code 2 finger print (initial FP) on sept 11 2008. I called FBI to check the status of my fingerprint and they told me that they do not have any records of it. What should I do now??? I am really scared as i din't received my FP for 1 year and after getting it after 1 yr they r giving me this answer.. and also one more strange thing is that my initial FP is code 2 ???? |

I was in the same boat as yours. I applied for I-485 in July 2007, but din't received FP notice till sep11 2008. I opened 3 SR took infopass but nothing helped. Then I called TSC thru poj method and got a nice IO which issued my FP appointment and I did FP on sep 11 but my husband is still waiting for the FP appointment, he din't received anything. |
