Topic: Why to migrate to UK?

As it seems thread of Exp guys..so I am posting my issue here:

Dear Friends,

I got my HSMP approval letter dated 5th Oct 2008[Valid till 5th April 09 i.e 6months] but could not apply for tier 1 till now due to current Financial situation.. I have heard that we can apply for post dated Tier 1..i mean I can apply for Tier 1[with my HSMP approval letter] in January say 25th January 2009 and in the application I can mentioned say 10th April [Less than 3 months from applied dates] as intended date of travel.

Than Embassy put VISA according to the intended date of travel !!

Please correct me f i am wrong..

Any body has applied under such scenerio ??

Any suggestion comments..most welcomed!!!

Topic: Need Tier 1 Dependent visa documents checklist

Hi Swapna,

I am planning to apply for EC[Tier 1 with HSMP approval letter] on 25th Jan.
But my wife does not have passport and I cannot wait bcz my HSMP letter would expire.
I am planning to apply for her after I would get my Tier 1 approved:
I have maintained 2800 GBP from last 6 months

1) After getting my VISA[say in FEB], Can I apply for my wife [say in March] with same maintenance fund[showing the same money available in my account]? or should I start maintaining 2800+1600 GBP in my account?

2) In vaf9 form in part 5a, if i select yes for "Is your partner accompanying you or joining you later?". what dates shall I put for "If they are traveling later please provide their date of travel in Part 7" ? as I am not sure about her visa process and might be i can travel alone and ask her to join me latter.

3) I hope she does not have to face issues at airport..if she travel alone? and most important her English is not good enough to face immigration officer..

Your helping nature is really appreciated!

Thanks,
Qumar

Topic: Why to migrate to UK?

Dear crazy4, hsyasin and Other Friends,

This thread seems to be a thread of experience guy.

Although my issue is not completely related to your topic of discussion but since you guys are experienced and might have gone through this phase, So I am putting my issue in this topic here:

I don’t want to travel UK for job in this recession period. However I would make a visit to UK within 3 moths [Is it OK??? or should I make an early trip considering I have to apply for ILR in future] of approved dates. [Also want to finalize immigration formalities at Airport]. [I have heard from some guys that some time Immigration officer does not grant entry, even though you have valid Tier -1 VISA]

I also want to know, after this visit, If I travel for JOB to UK say after 6-12 months, will I have to go through same immigration process at airport?[I suppose we have to complete some immigration formalities at Airport on first time arrival with Tier -1 VISA] or my second visit would be normal i.e. without any immigration formalities at air port?

Thanks in advance for sharing your suggestion, comment ..etc!

Regards,
Qumar

Topic: Applying HSMP from Saudi Arab.

0.) I am located at Riyadh, KSA. how is the UK Embassy process here in Saudi?
>> No Idea, I applied for HSMP and (Alhamdoallah)I got it but I still have to apply for tier1 with my HSMP letter.

1.) My salary deposits are happening as Cash Deposit into my account. Will this be accepted?
>>I think it does not matter, You can submit your bank stattment with the Employer letter(salary certificate attested by Chamber of Commerce) as a proof for "Previous Earning".

2.) My Dateof Birth - February 1978, I am already 30. I scored only 5 points. Any of you in this age and got succeeded?
>>No Experince, My DOB is 1981[20 Points] but My Previous Earning and My Master Degree was sufficient to get 75 points.

3.) I did my Masters degree from University of Chennai (Partime) I sent my certificate for UK Naric evaluation they have sent a comparability letter stating it is considered as equivalent to "Masters education at British standards". Will this suffice or do I need to take up - IELTS?
>>If, You have UK Naric letter...that's all..you would get full points for your Master Degree.
>> why do'nt you try PBS calculator with Your degree and see if you qualify for "English Requierment".
if You do'nt qualify than only you need to show IELTS, as a proof for "English Requierment".

I am going on vacation this thurshday and would come back after Hadj Holiday, So will not check this forum on regular basis.
execuse me for the late updates!!!

Thanks,
Qumar

Topic: Original document dispatched by Royal mail!!!!

No, there is no refrence number for Royal mail. I would suggest you to wait for at least two weeks. I have heard some time Royal mail takes 4 weeks to reach to destination.

Topic: Docs needed for dependent?

This I found uder Part 7 on POINTS BASED SYSTEM FORM (VAF9 AUG 2008): APPENDIX 1: TIER 1 (GENERAL) MIGRANT

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/docs/1903073/pbsappendix1

You must have £2,800 available funds for yourself plus £1,600 for each dependant accompanying you or intending to join you in the United Kingdom within 12 months of your arrival in the United Kingdom. This money must be held in your personal bank account for at least 3 months before the date of your application and not fall below the required amount at any time during that period.
