Nope. The photo for EAD is taken when you go for finger printing.

Topic: Should we get a SSN before Dec 31st in order to get stimulated ??

I believe *anytime* means anytime before you file your 2008 return. You can file your return till April 15th 2009. You can file an extension if you still need time.

I have not sent any documents. I see the status change on my application as card mailed. I am waiting for the card in the mail.

Topic: what is best to learn SAP-BW/BI or FICO.

Apahilaj,

Here is my 2 cents. If you have financial background and have good understanding of finance (Debits/Credits) or if you were involved in cost or management accounting, FI/CO would be a good choice. I would also like to clarify that this has nothing to do with the financial melt down. Very few large Financial institutions use SAP.

SAP BW is some thing easy to learn for some one with database background and who has a fair understanding of difference between OLTP and OLAP systems. The very reason that it is easy makes it highly competitive. However there are some niche areas in BW where there are still some high paying jobs like SCM-BW and SEM. Please jump in based on your core strengths rather than market. As such market is kinda slack, so there are people with real experience on the bench. So take a cautious step.

Topic: Transit Visa UK .. How much time it will take if i apply on my own

Guys,

I went to British Consulate in newyork and I was able to get it done in 2 hrs. I have carried all the documents alongwith the itenerary. It was back in 2007, not sure if things have changed. The funny part is I saved $200 by booking ticket via London and spent that amount on my Newyork trip. No body cared to look at the transit visa in Hethrow.

Topic: Aug 15 processing time published

Here is something funny. VSC 485 processing dates are at July 2006. They have already approved some of the 2007 cases already.

Topic: Transferred cases to TSC but no COP mail... share your experiences

Did you get any commuincation from TSC that the case is transferred to TSC? My case was filed with TSC and transferred to VSC. I am not sure where my application is hanging. I have scheduled an infopass for next Tuesday. Hope I will get some infomration.

Apart from filing AR-11. I have filled an address change form for each pending application with USCIS. It is the same form, but one for each application with the Reciept number on the application.
