Topic: Do we need to return license plates if we register car in another state?

NY requires the plates to be returned and when they receive the plates they send you a document that you use to change the address in your insurance. Without this document the insurance does NOT change your address, i.e., you can have plates and registration from your new state but the insured address is still NY. Wierd!!!

However it might not be true to all states. I remember the guy at CA DMV asked me to surrender my NY plates to them and I said that I had to send it back to NY DMV. The guy check some books and said: "Ahh, OK, if you have NY plates you don't need to surrender, but you have to send them back".

Topic: IF Obama wins?

They already have equal rights but want more, they want to re-define the institution of marriage..

What a contradiction!!!!! How can you say they have equal rights if they cannot marry their partners????

Same-sex couples will be allowed to adopt kids and effectively pervert them in their "families".

Actually in some states they are already allowed to adopt, whether you like it or not.
By the way, there are many "normal families" where kids are exposed to prosmicuous, drugs, sexual abuse,
fathers raping daugthers. Wouldn't you call this "pervert" ????

Soon you will find homosexuality basics taught in public schools

What a better place to teach kids about something that they will learn anyway?
It's like sexual education, if they don't teach in the school the kids will learn in the streets, and in the wrong way.

After a while, marriage will be expanded to animals and my neighbor will finally legalize relationships with her dog.

Don't use this kind of argument. A homesexual relationship is between two adults, concious of what they are doing and responsible enough for their acts. A relationship with an animal is not diferent than a relationship with a child, or better talking, it's not a relationship, it's ABUSE. If you know your neighbor is abusing her dog, please call the Animal Society, ASPCA or even the police.

Topic: what to say coming back with wife at POE???

You should NEVER tell an authority ANYTHING besides the question they made. Whatever you say can be used against you. Just present both GC (yours and wife's) and both passports. IO will ask how long you guys stayed abrod. Simply give a brief answer. For example: I stayed one week, my wife stayed 3 weeks. DON'T LIE. NEVER LIE, but don't say anything else besides what was asked.

Topic: Travelling with green card

When entering the USA by air, everybody must presnt a passport, regardless being an American citzen or not.
When entering by land an American citizens can simply show proof of citizenship (birth certificate plus a photo ID, for example).
A GC holder should never dare trying to enter the US without a valid passport, regardless he/she is comming by air or land.

Topic: Bill H.R.5921 introduced to eliminate per country visa limits

if the so called diversity could not fill their visa numbers, they should be passed on to others waiting in line rather than just wasting. This is a fair thing to do because we are talking about EB visas which are basically with a presumption that this country needs skilled labor which is obviously higher priority than diversity.

Are you sure that visa wasting is due to a lack of skilled ROW professionals?
If this were true, all ROW category would be current, would not?

Topic: Eliminating per-country quota only benefit those who are asking for it

The whole crap of this discussion is not about being fair ou unfair for Indians, Chinese or ROW.
The whole crap is what suits better the USA purpose.
Per country cap suits OK the US immigration purpose, i.e., DIVERSITY.

If you tell me about the thousand of talented Indians and Chinese that loose the opportunity to migrate to US
due the the coutry cap, I would say that there will be enough talented ROW to take their place. Hence, the immigration
can still attract talented people and maintain the diversity.

Is this bad for Indians and Chinese? Sure it is. I have some Indians friends, really talented guys, who are stuck in the
GC process for year, and probably will be stuck for some more years still, and I feel sorry for them.

However, looking for the Americans side, I belive the diversity has the purpose of protecting their culture.
If there is an influx of immigrants from the same nationality it can have a negative impact to the american culture.
I don't think americans would be happy if their kids started playing Cricket instead of baseboll, or if the burgers and
buffalo wings restaurants were replaced by Indian/Chinese cousine.

By the way, I hate baseboll and I really preffer Indian/Chinese food over burgers, but this is the american culture and we
have to respect it.

Topic: Dare to dream

7. Abolishing the per country GC cap.

This would benefit primarily Indians and Chineses and would be unfair with other nationalities. I disagree.

8. Removing the clause for annual minimum period of stay inside the country after the greencard approval.

It makes not sense. If you are a resident you have to live here.
