I would never try to interpret a soft LUD as it is mostly misleading. similarly a talk with a Service Representative limits you the info available online and misleads you. I think there is no 60 day rule for infopass and you could personally get your doubts cleared and even try to meat an IO who may have more info. in any case oct 13 is not far away. But try to take infopass rather than a phone enquiry at the earliest. Best wishes. |

It is difficult to put the whole blame on USPS as the mail originated from minnosota service center and not from Nabraska or our local office at LA, why we donot know. why it sent to our old address when we had changed the address twice we donot know. we received all other mails such as for Interview; FP; RFE etc during last 6 months at our present address! why Uscis changes addresses in selective files is difficult to comprehend. we are not bothered now anyway.
I think you need to take infopass again and keep on trying to get I 155 stamped by meeting a different IO and requesting for more information. may be you meet someone more understanding and helpful! Best of luck. |

should get CPO by Oct 7. Take infopass appointment for her for 8th and try to meet IO and enquire if FP has reached their records and reasons for not approving GC if any. if approved request for I-551 and go prepared with travel details and reservations. Best of luck. |

Thank God, our wait is over. The GC has been delivered to our one year old address( and recovered by us, ) inspite of repeated address change by all possible methods. Luckily post office delivered it after 20 days! And did not return back as undeliverable mail.
incidentally repeated infopass visits were not useful and I-551 was not stampedby IO on one or other excuse and asked every time to come later.
Any way all is well that ends well.

It would be imprudent to apply separately even if it takes more time. as long as your marriage certificate and secondary proofs of marriage are there you should be ok. in most cases there is no extra time but some cases may be slightly delayed if they call you for interview. |

Please take interview notice very seriously. Try do decipher the reasons for interview in your wife's case. it is unusual for only secondary applicant to be called alone in case of married couples. it may mean marriage may not be an issue. check the documents asked for. if unable to decipher. consult an attorney or take an infopass appointment for clarification if possible.
all documents taken must be in original including marriage certificate, otherwise what is the use of interview. you must try to go along as you can also be approved as your PD is current. if in infopass appointment you find your date of interview is different' ask them to merge the interviews.

Hi Ganesh, By the way you are posting an interview problem on a wrong thread ..your case does not seem to be presdjudicated!
I donot want to dicourage you but I feel you are trying to attend interview without proper preparations and documentation. it appears IO may see through your deficiencies and may deny GC. I would advise you to consult an attorney or get your interview postphoned if possible till you get a job.
incidentally your profile at trackitt has not been uploaded and you run the risk of wrong advice inadverdantly. your case details not only help you but also others who have filed the cases near your dates.
You are depending too much on the generosity of your ex employer who has taken away your job at this crucial juncture, has probably informed USCIS about it and is not willing to give you the job presently. why do you expect he will give you some absurd letters to help you and put his co. At risk of penal action by USCIS.
Risk is not worth taking and show all documents to attorney especially reasons for loosing employment, whether you should attend interviw with existing documents or not. everyone does not get interviews why you? what does your interview letter say and what documents you have to take?
the reason for interview could be their suspicion of your Job existing and they could obtain balance sheets and other details of your co. in case they doubt your statements.
If your present employment can not be verified God help you. |

Dear 31JAN2005.....Hi
your case is different from ours. yours is not current yet. you were apparently not required to face an interview. you have not received any letter from your IO that your case file is complete and you probably donot know where your file is. Panky5 and spouse were called for an interview at Local Office. again after reply to RFE The same IO who conducted the interview informed in writing that all is OK and they should await PD becoming current. it indirectly meant that the cases were preadjidicated. in mid august we rang up 1-800 customer support number and enquirerd our status. we also successfully pleaded with her to open a service request as our Pds are getting current from sept 1.
In our first infopass appointment we learnt that our FP has expired so we managed to get FP appointment for next day and got FP done.
In the mean time we fixed another infopass appointment for sept 2 to enquire why our GC has not been approved. at the infopass window we pleaded with the officer to let us meet our IO who had preadjidicated our cases. we went inside but the io who had interviewed us told that the file is no longer with him and cannot be called back. so he directed us to speak to another IO in the same local office. we met him also on the same day and he told us that all is ok but he is too busy now and cannot do anything. but he assured us not to worry and he will send a mail. we asked
when. he said may be today or tonight. and lo......we were approved on sept 2 and recd CPO email next morning.sept 3 2009 |
