Topic: Mumbai terror attacks

Condolences to the families of the ones who got caught up in the horrific attacks. Terror knows no bounds and can strike anywhere.

India and Pakistan would do well to cooperate in this. Terror has struck pakistan too. Much more then india. And automatic finger pointing and blame game would only allow the focus to shift away from fighting terror. As a result, the 2 countries would continue to suffer while these elements increase in strength. So the focus needs to shift from political statements towards internal police action within both countries. And based upon concrete proof and not emotions.

Topic: Visit visa for an LPR's mother from Pakistan

Hi Harapata,

I had my mother in law from pakistan visit us during the delivery of our child. I sent a letter of support (there is an official form, you must use that). you can download it from the net. Mentioned that i was inviting her to assist with delivery of the child and i also sent across my bank statement from here in the US stating id been with the bank for so many years and have this much balance. (i do not own a home in the US or i would have sent those docs too).

Mother in law applied for the visa from islamabad and was approved with out any issues. Note that she cant speak a word of english. So send those docs across and it will come through this time.

I suspect my case is also waiting to be assigned and not with an officer as yet.
Do you know if he just used the 2 months date as a general target or are they really trying to clear the 07 cases by dec?

Hi Jai,

That in interesting indeed that they returned your L1 fee.
Could you let me know when you L1 was due to expire and when you applied for its renewal? Ive just put in an application for EAD renewal. Lets hope that triggers something.
