Topic: Audit Notification

My case was selected for audit too but we were expecitng it because of foriegn language requirement. We sent all the audit paperwork and it got approved within 2 weeks! If you prepare audit response well, they won't put you back in the processing file and can certify your case right away - that's my lawyer's guess. But if your audit response doesn't make them happy, then you can be stuck for a while more.

Topic: Green Card Rally on Sept 17-18

Hey all,

Are any of you going to the Immigration Rally in DC on Sept 17 and 18? It's supposed to be huge (and the bigger the better!) and should hopefully encourage the government to issue unused GC numbers that get burned at the end of the year...this will free up a lot of Green Card numbers for many of us! This is something we should worry about even if we are just filing PERM now. Just wanted to spread the word. All the details are here: http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12749 Immigration Voice is organizing everything but they need help and more people to show up.

Topic: mailed vs electronically submitted please reply. Thx

Hi there. I also wanted to mail my application instead of e-filing because I am going to have Audit on language and I wanted to send all the supporting documents right away. Lawyer said that it's better to e-file but didn't really explain why. I do know that you won't be able to track your case on line if you file by mail. Hope this helps at least at all...I am still new to this all too.

Topic: Audit on Language Requirement

Thank you, this is helpful. I am afraid I will have to keep Foreign Language since my job is too general otherwise (HR) and lawyer said the case might be too week without language. We should be able to prove necessity. Do you know if I can send all supporting documents right away or do I have to wait until they ask for them??? Good luck to everyone!

Topic: Audit on Language Requirement

I have foreign language as one of the requirements and I am going to file Labor soon. Did anyone have this requirement and managed to avoid an audit?? Is there anything I can do when filing my application to avoid audit?? Thanks much!
