Topic: Card Production Ordered on July 8, 2008

More information about my spouse's case.

We filed the application separately. My spouse filed about 8 months after my application.

Good luck to those couples who filed the case separately! We still have the hope! : )

Topic: Card Production Ordered on July 8, 2008

Dear folks,

We received the following LUD today for my spouse's I-485 case:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On July 21, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does that mean my spouse will get the card production ordered soon? Did anyone have the same experience before?

Thanks,
riovista0724

Topic: Withdraw I485 -- Can i do it?

I got married while my case is still processing and this is how I filed the GC application for my spouse:

PD: 7/23/07
Marriage date: 2/9/08
I140 approval date: 5/16/08
Spouse application filed: 5/28/08
CPO notice: 7/8/08 (just for myself)
Card received: 7/14/08 (just for myself)
Welcome notice: 7/15/08 (just for myself)

Currently, my spouse's case is still pending and we will make an INFOPASS appointment to check with IO in person how fast he can get the GC. My lawyer told me that as long as your marriage date (shown on the marriage certificate) is before your case has been approved, your spouse will be processed at the similar date yours had been processed. We'll see! Hope it helps!

Dear All,

Guess what? I received the actual card today - July 14, 2008! It's about a week after the CPO notice! I didn't receive any LUD for welcome notice or approval notice but receive the actual card within a week after CPO notice.

Wish you all good luck! : )
