Topic: Changing Employer after GC
y'day only i spoke with my attorney about changing job after GC, He said i need to be with the current employer for 3 months after the GC, then i can change the job without any risk. In case if i change the job before 3 months then very much possible to get query when i go for the GC renewal (after 10 year) or Citizenship (after 5 years)... so just hold for 3 months and proceed on your way, after that they can do nothing.

once you become an Australian citizen you can easily come to US with some visa type like TN visa, and it can be renewed easily every year. one of my ex-colleague an australian citizen and now he is working here. He told that he doesnt have restiction like H1, and he is free to work with any employer and easy to renew his visa every year. But i dont know, what visa he is here.... |
Topic: No Card one month after Welcome notice. Called today
Make inforpass appointment by selecting the option "You are a new Permanent Resident and have not yet received your Permanent Resident Card". I just got the I-551 stamping two days back. Received my 485 approval but no welcome letter and etc.,
At the counter i told them that i got my approval notice a month back but didnt receive the card yet and i need stamping. Then they took my EAD and AP and gave the stamping in 30 mins.... |
Topic: EAD expiring,need suggestion
Hi all,
in my wife's EAD, some reason the receipt notice returned back to the USCIS office and they mentioned in their website saying that since the receipt notice returned it will delay the EAD processing, we got her receipt number from back of the check which we wrote. So spoke with our attorney they told us to call the USCIS office and tell the person that if we dont get her EAD on time she will loose her job. My wife did call the customer service number and explained her situation. the person told that he is going to set the option in their system to expedite the processing due to job loss. then within couple of weeks she got her EAD card, but not sure becasue of the expedite option she got in ontime or not....
in my attorney office they also gave the below option to try, and this option will take you to the officer level, she did it but she didnt get proper response from that officer
