I'm waiting to complete 10 years of working in U.S. and paying social security taxes and then I wil l go back, that will make me elligible for social security benefits later on in life. I have approx 1 year left. |

If you had a recent H-1 transfer or extension and your I-94 and visa are simply expired, then yes, you can get the visa stamped in Canada. If you have changed your visa class (e.g. F-1 to H-1), then you need to go back to your country of citizenship. |
