How long its been with the IO. Do you know when they assigned your case to IO? Till yesterday my case is not assigned to an officer. I don't know why?

My case is with an officer since May10th 2008 .
I was told It is likely to be approved by end of june.

IIOs answering the phone know nothing about that's going on there. After answering to an RFE I called them once, and the person said "I can see that your application is waiting to be assigned to an officer". When I said an officer had already looked at it and issued me an RFE, the person said "oh, ok, yeah... I can see that...".
After an RFE is issued 485 file is transferred to a stage area to be re-assigned to officer.
It will be re-assined when the response is received.
My be the office meant it is waiting to be 're-assigned'.
