Topic: I think I got approval - Now what? (Experts Please)

I was in a similar situation; I was out of the country when my I-485 got approved. I re-entered using the AP and the Immigration Officer could see in her system that the 485 had been approved and even told me that the card had been produced. She did not stamp I-551 in my passport. She stamped entry on AP, valid for a year.

Topic: No more I-485 approvals from TSC?

Mine was also applied in Apr 2007. Many of us have seen the approvals irrespective of what the VBs have indicated.

Good Luck!

Topic: Entry using Advance Parole

In my case my I-485 got approved while I was traveling overseas and my lawyer advised me to use the AP to re-enter. I am curious if I still need to go to the alien side and whether they will stamp the "AP" entry given that my 485 has been approved and the card is in mail?

Many thanks for your responses.

Topic: Entry using Advance Parole

Any insight on how easy / cumbersome it is to enter on Advance Parole (AP) will be greatly appreciated. Specifically, what is the procedure at the Point of Entry (POE)?

Topic: No more I-485 approvals from TSC?

I just now got the message that my card has been ordered for production. So I guess I must close this thread out. Is starting this thread the lucky break?

But even if not, I have to say that trackitt has been extremely useful in assessing timeframes for processing. People sharing information creates a powerful statistical model that very often supercedes attorneys' theoretical knowledge. The ability to predict what to expect is remarkable.

I also want to thank the numerous forum members who have been so responsive, kind and shared optimism and knowledge and communicated happiness when others get approved. This community spirit is truly remarkable.

Topic: No more I-485 approvals from TSC?

Very few I-485 approvals from TSC over the past week. Do we believe that they are done issuing afor this fiscal year? Does this affect EB1 category as well, and is this country specific?

Topic: LUDs on I-485!!!

Spoke to an IO in TSC just now. She said case is waiting for a visa number and that new numbers will become available only after October. This does not seem consistent with the approvals that seem to be trickling in still.

Interesting to note that NSC and TSC seem to betaking turns at issuing approvals. Last week more approvals came from NSC, whereas the week before that TSC seemed active.

Topic: A quick thank you and words of encouragement

For those that think, illegal immigration does not impact legal immigrants, I will refer to 245(i) in April 2001, which caused huge delays in labor processing in states like NY.

That said, this forum is very useful in sharing topical information that enhances our knowledge on what to anticipate in our individual cases. It might be best to leave out debating such broader issues and political ideologies.

Thank you for your message. I also got an LUD on Aug 9. Hopefully it means progress...

Topic: What is the significance of LUD on I-485?

My case is EB1C, RD is Apr 12 2007. FP on May 11. I-140 approved on Aug 6. I just saw that the LUD for my wife's and my I-485 is Aug 8, but no update on the status itself - still says case is received and pending. Should I anticipate any decision soon or is this inconsequential update?
