Topic: What if Medicals Expire?
Thanks for your replly IndiaMunda... I actually read the information on the CIC web site... I am actually looking for comments from people who had medicals expired and didn't get their PPR on time... I want to know what their experience was like from that point until they finally get a final answer...
I want to know if CIC continues to ask for updated documents in addition to requesting new medical exams and such... I am also interested to find out how much longer one is expected to wait in such case.... |
Topic: What if Medicals Expire?
Does anyone here knows what happens after medicals expire and no PPR is received?
I am approaching the expiration date of my medical exams and just today CIC sent a message telling me they are still working on our background checks!
I am trying to be prepared... or to have an idea about what to expect...
Please, if you have been in the same situation do share your experience...
Thanks a lot! |
Topic: Application fees - $550...what is $490 right of permanent residence fee?
Q#1 No, you pay that at the end ... sometimes they ask you to pay that fee with medicals... it's for you permanent residency card processing (this fee is refundable in case you get rejected at the end)
Q#2 Yes. |

hahaha, okay... I decided to wait for my CAIPS and to give it more time before I email CIC... anyways... I am saying to myself 'no news are good news' or at least I hope...
I've never been to Finland... but I've heard that people there are pretty cold and not very friendly... hopefully you will meet plenty of friendly people in Canada!
Talk to you later! |

Dear Tansarut... thank you so much for your reply... I think I am going to write to them... the thing is that it took me a long time to provide CIC with a police report from my husbands native country... we had to go thru hell to get it (it's a long story)...
If you read my timeline you can see that I sent my medicals in Dec but it wasn't until June 23rd that I sent them the last piece of paper they asked me to send ... I wrote to them while I was waiting for the police report to be processed to keep them informed of the status of it... they told me they were going to wait for the report to be ready (I was afraid they were going to close my file because it took me so long) ... so since they were so nice and waited for me to send this paper over to them... now I feel I should do the same... I should just let them finish whenever they finish... but...
I was really hoping to be able to get an answer before the end of the summer... perhaps even move to Canada before the beginning of the school year... that is why I am tempted to ask about the status of my application...
I requested my CAIPS notes for the same reasons... I want to have an idea about the outcome of my application... but I haven't received them yet... perhaps it will take another week or so... I was thinking to wait until I get my CAIPS, see what's on there and then if everything looks okay, I will write to CIC requesting an update on my application...
I know I am just being paranoid... I am sorry for being raving and ranting at this point... I want a positive outcome so badly!
Thank you, for your help anyways... I will come back to tell you what happens!
Good Bless you! and by the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I wish you the best in Canada! |

Is any of you a fan of emailing CIC?
Do you email them often?
Do you think is okay to email them to ask about the status of you application?
Pros and Cons of emailing CIC?
I am thinking about emailing them... but don't know if it's a good idea... I don't want to piss them off! lOl

I have a question:
Is it possible to assume, that if you got your medical requests your application has at least the minimum 67 points required?
Thanks for your answers! |

Hello everyone...
CHC is definitely working... people at the British Expats Forum are getting PPRs right and left in the last few days....
I came here to check if any of you guys were gettting them too...
Let's hope and pray that we all get some kind of good news from CHC before the summer is over!
Good luck everyone, and please do post if you get your medicals or passports request... Thanks! :O) |
