I am gonna transfer next one from here in August.
Everything in place; just waiting for this extension to get approved; if doesnt get the extension time,then have to go ahead and file anyways |

I was told during my first H1B stamping, three yrs ago, by the officer that once you will be cleared by security clearance, that security clearance will be valid for one yr; So if you would apply for something that requires security clearance within that one yr period, that would suffice.
I dont know how much practical that was or is as I never personally required another one after that. |

NSEER again has the same criteria; primarily muslims of any country age 16-65; primarily males but I have seen women and children been sent for them too |

I just did that.
My visa was expiring June 28th; extension application was pending;
I went out on May 30th & came back June 17th;
No Problem during entry; Also consider that I have to go thru NSEERs everytime I go out or come in.

Yeah I know; pretty frustrating;
One thing that I did recently was that I filed Ombudsman request last week.
It wouldnt hurt using it. U can google it (USCIS Ombudsman); i think its form 7001

Yup, if they say u have to go thru it again.
Security clearance in mainly for Muslims age 16-65; very very seldom anyone from anyother sect gets selected for SC.
Security clearance for H1B is valid for one yr.
I dont know about ur personal profile details but likely u will have to go thru it again; my time for SC during stamping 3 yrs ago was 4 mths, but again there is considerable variation.

Well it can take from less than a week to forever.
Mine is pending for about 4 months now. But few of my friends got it in 4-5 days too. and i am talking about regular ones.
It also depends on whether u get sent for security clearance; if yes, than it will require some more time than usual.
