"why do you want to get the I-551 stamping?"
Additional safer evidence connecting my passport and greencard. Worst case Scenario if Greencard is misplaced (or) stolen, atleast your passport stamping (I-551 stamping) has a proof that you had a greencard. I know I-551 stamping will expire in a year but atleast stamping once is safer (holds greencard record in your passport forever)

waiting for Approval Notice (by mail) ...

I am still thinking of getting immigrant stamping in passport (atleast for the first year). Even though it expires in 1 year, in future, it will be a safer evidence connecting my passport and greencard

Topic: Parole expiring in Sep 08, filed for extension in May 08, going home on old parole in Aug 08, HELP

Please check the link below. I guess you can stay outside US when your AP renweal is in progress and return back before expiry date (on your existing AP) regardless the status of your renewal

    http://www.murthy.com/news/n_favint.html

"The USCIS stated that if a person has an advance parole and applies for a new advance parole while in the United States, s/he may travel and reenter the U.S. using the already approved advance parole. The person must return during the time period permitted under that advance parole that was approved before the person's departure. The USCIS specified that the person cannot remain abroad after the expiration of the first advance parole and then seek to enter on the second one after it is approved. "

Topic: Employer doesnot respond to RFE, then ...

I would say if you believe that your GC sponsor will respond to any of your I-140 RFE (in future), then don't file for AC21 just do the H1 transfer to work for another company. As we know that GC is for future employment.

Topic: Employer doesnot respond to RFE, then ...

I believe you cannot leave your current employer without 140 approval.

Please check the link below for AC21 Clarification on Page 10 it says

"(d) Form I-140 Petition Must be Approved Prior to a Favorable Determination of a
    ยง106(c) AC21 portability request. "

You H1 is still valid for another 4 months. To renew your H1 you can still wait for another 3 months. You will get your GC card in another 20 days (30 days max). Atleast wait for a month, Otherwise as "luish73" suggested you should get a Infopass to fix this issue.
