Is there anyone holding L2 visa who has applied for EAD. If so then please let me know if there is any chance to take up employment with L2 visa and SSN while waiting for EAD approval ?? Topic: How long will it take to receive the EAD from Texas Center--Any recommendation
Its really difficult rather impossible to tell when one could receive EAD. It normally takes 90 working days, and if it isn't received within this interval then one needs to get in touch with the officials at USCIS. Its true that few lucky people get EAD withing a month or so, but normally it shouldn't take more than 90 days if all the required docs are duly submitted. So keep your fingers crossed and good luck. And one more thing, probably could make you happy. I have heard that EAD processing at TSC is faster than rest of the centers.... |

Hii Sheetal...whats the status with your EAD? Well i heard that the required docs given in the link is quite misleading.....The docs actually required are contrary to whats mentioned in the link....So its good to get it verified. Also the EAD either gets approved or rejected within 90 days....If you still havent received you can try enquiring about the same with the customer care unit. |

Thanks a ton for the information Sheetal....There are diff centers for EAD i suppose. Can i apply in any center? I have heard that the time taken to process varies with diff centers. Is it true? Which center have you applied. I suppose i would be living in California.. |

Hi..I hold L2 visa. Currently in india..Planning to come to US shortly. I would be applying for EAD. What i need to know is, should i be in US to apply for EAD or can it by any chance be done online from India ? If it has to be done from US, can anyone kindly let me know what all mandatory supporting documents required...Its really urgent and i do not want to miss out on any required docs to file for EAD. Please let me know.... |
