Topic: Bush administration making a dirty exit - Biometrics will be required of Green Card holders!

Is there any clause which says that Green Card holders should get a visa if they want to re-enter. The purpose of biometrics at POE is to esnure that the person entering the country is the same person who is holding the visa. I'll not be surprised if any such clause exists...... Perhaps they might issue an I-94 until the card expiry.... LOL.

Topic: L1A - EB1C- i140 approved - FP1 called

Wait until you cross the 180 days, being on L1, it's very risky to switch job with EAD before 180 days. Perhaps your 140 may be approved by that time.

Topic: Do I have to change my Social Security Card after getting the GC?

I guess it's better to change because you may land in trouble when you appear in DMV. DMV, SSA and USCIS are linked, when you show your GC as legal resident status, SSA will have temporary status and they can pull the SSA records instantly. You will be asked to change your status with SSA and then proceed with DMV. However, this applies to the states who have participated in the REAL ID Act.

Topic: 70 Days after Approval and Still no green card

If we don't have the card in hand due to some reasons (ex: biometrics not available, postal delays, card returned, etc) and the employer revokes the 140 at this time. Will it have any effect on the approved I-485?

Topic: Is EAD necessary for principal applicant??

In the recent past there are many threads which discuss about the denial of 485 because the principal applicant used AC21 and employer revokes or withdraws the 140 petition. If USCIS is denying cases because employer revokes or withdraws 140, what's the significance of EAD for the principal applicant? EAD doesn't make any sense in this case and destroys the priciples of EAD and AC21. For EB visas, either they should allow free movement with EAD (ofcourse with some reasonable restrictions) or stop issuing EAD for principal applicant.

Topic: Received EAD for 2 years (EB1C - PD: 07/27/2007)

Hi Babuda,
If you are planning to use your EAD, use the most recent one. I'm not sure whether USICS cancells the previous EAD when you renew.
