In my case, it probably sounds similar but it is a case of my old company A being acquired by another company B.
I refiled the I-140 (amended I-140) application which got approved, and even me/my wife's EAD and AP were approved for the second time recently.
I am waiting to hear about the reason.
Is the 30 day period to respond to RFIE from the date it was issued at USCIS? |

It says "Request for Initial Evidence" instead of "Request of Additional Evidence" which I presume is RFE.
As per being assigned a VISA number, I am not sure, but since a request has been generated, it could be possible. I am still waiting to hear from the lawyer what information is required. |

You need to file Amended I-140 in this case. I went through an acquisition, and had to undergo that task!

i read one needs to respond within 30 days.
i would assume 30 days starts from day of RFE notice date?
if that is true, one loses 7 days or so in mail delay. someone please let me know. |
