Send a check along with the form. In my case, they rejected twice without the fees but the third time when we sent the fee, they sent the fee back but corrected my GC. So, go ahead and send the fee along with your form.

anyway, i filed my I-90 in May after I recieved my original card in later April. Got a rejection in July. Got another rejection in September. Finally approved in October. They were rejecting becasue we did not pay the fees but when we sent the fees in September (after the second rejection), they corrected the card and did not take the fees!!! How the $%#@ do you explain this. Anyway, all is well that ends well. I am going to India end of the month with my GC. Hopefully, I wont have issues reentering.

since only two criteria are necessary to qualify, focus your efforts on two, but address the rest (if you claimed all in the original petition)
- scientific contributions - since you say ytou have already done much
you have to choose one from the rest that you believe has the best shot
- papers probably - show ur papers, citations,

recd my corrected card today after 2-3 rejections. The name field has only my middle initial but the machine readable code at the bottom has the full middle name spelt out correctly!

did you file for I-90? when u called uscis, did they ask you to send fees when you checked box 'd'? i got rejection notice for my I-90 coz of fees even though it was uscis's fault and i checked 'd'.

i got a rejection notice today. it says the 'application fee is incorrect or not provided', and asking to resend the form with the supporting documentation again. not sure why this happened as it was uscis' error. now, i guess i have to ask my attorney to send everyting again with the fee hoping they will not reject again (like in gclog's case). btw, gclog, any updates yet on your third attempt? let me know. the worst part is if they have to reject it, why did they wait 2.5 months. also, when does the actual card arrive - i hope it will reach me soon.
let me know if anyone had their i-90 approved for name error.

gclog, that's scary, even after sending twice they are rejecting it. hopefully, they will not reject this time. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok; close to when my I-90 was sent. And when did you/your lawyer receive it back from CIS - this past week or ?

can u tell me when did u send ur I-90, and where did u send it to? my attorney sent it on 22 may, i gueess to phoenix.

in my RFE respone, i made a table listing the citations from each country to show the international recognition of my work. i believe my attorney should have used this (i do not have a copy of what he exactly sent to USCIS).

i am not going to update SSN card as it does not really matter now...i thought about DL but i might pass as my current one is valid until Dec. Hopefully, I will get my corrected card by then. Else, i'll have to get a stamp in the pp and use that to renew my DL.

i did not get any special letters from journal editors. all were regular email invitations that i attached to the petition. one of the email said something like, 'due to your expertise, you are invited to review a papers......'. if u are asking the editors to write letters, make sure they are not all identical..

thanx. so did u file urself? when u mean ur approval had the correct information, do you mean the welcome notice/approval notice? my welcome notice had the error; so my attorney called them immediately but it was too late by then. they had already produced and mailed the card with that error. i think i can submit copy of 485 (hopefully, the attorney has it), acknowledgement (having correct name) from USCIS when i changed address last year, plus advanced parole document, and passport. u r right..all receipts have middle initial, and so is my EAD, 140 approval notice, and H-1B.

any updates yet? i asked some questions to u re. I-90 in a different post here they are. i recd my card today with spelling error in my middle name. I will have to file I-90 soon.
- Is there a time limit by which I should file it? (i am not sure whether my employer will pay for the attorney to do this job now that the gc is approved). did u use attorney?
- Can I stamp the pp before filing or only after filing?
- u say that u got receipt after filing I-90. not all in the forum seem to get. do u need that as proof to stamp pp - i believe they stamped with the correct name/information? also, did u file it at TSC or NBC; i see mixed answers even for this.
in addition, did u have to do biometrics again when u did ur stamping? i got mine done in Feb 08.

my current DL expires in Dec; so that is my main concern if the corrected card gets delayed. and i plan to visit india during December. so, i need to get stamping.

did u file I-90- current status? did u get ur pp stamped - before or after filing I-90? can u send me the link in the website, where it says so? i recd card today but will have to file I-90 soon to correct the error.
