Looks like there is an excitement based on the EAD extensions pattern. The 1 year and 2 year extension depends on the time EAD extension got approved. My PD is June 2002. I got 2 year EAD extension back in August 2008. The Extension pattern changes every quarter or every month based on the USCIS projections of getting Green card within next one year or two years for the PD.
For example if someone with PD April 2002 got one year EAD extension in Dec 2008, then there is a possibility of his case getting approved within one year. The pattern changes every month based on the Visa Bulletin cut off dates. |

Did your lawyer advised your wife to go for H1 stamping even if she has EAD, AP? The safe rule is to avoid going to any US consulate for H1 stamping if you have EAD and AP. Many consulates do not have clear interpretation on these cases and they interpret arbitrarily. The decisions have gone both ways. It is just a mine field. If she has AP, she can get back her passport and get back into US on AP. Please follow your lawyer's advice on your H1 status and further renewals till you get Green card. |
Topic: RFE yet not received
It is 30 days from the date of RFE dated. I got RFE on TB skin test dated 8th Dec. but my lawyer got it on dec 16. It is holiday season, it takes time in USPS. I sent back the response to lawyer and he is going to send back to USCIS tomorrow. |
Topic: Attention 2007 Tax filers ------using ITIN wont get you the stimulas package refund!!
My colleague called up IRS local office and they told us that we don't need to send letter at all, instead use the SSN on 2007 filing. They will verify the SSN and cancel the ITIN in the Tax filing itself. |
Topic: re-schedule finger printing
We have appointment on october 27th. Our baby is due that week. So we postponed my wife's appointment through my lawyer's office. I am going ahead for the appointment on 27th. We have to drive 3 hours to go to the Appointment. We requested 4-6 weeks of postponement. My lawyer said they may not consider the request, but he added the Labor due date for reason and 200 miles (3 hours) drive from my home town to the USCIS office. Hope this helps. |

My receipt date was on August 3rd instead of July 2nd. My lawyer said he will send letter to USCIS to correct the receipt date. |

I am not sure if this phone call is real or fake. How do you trust a person on the phone even if the caller ID says US government? It may be real or may not. But definitely not a good practice for USCIS calling the person over the phone to verify the details. This is not credit card. You need to check your credit report to verify the ID theft. |

My lawyer said he is going to send letter to USCIS to correct the date. But he said it will take months before they update and we may as well get Green card before that if EB3 priority Dates jump by one year for India. |

My EAD Card production ordered on Oct 3rd. July 2nd filer at NSC transferred to TSC. Got receipt notices last week with receipt date of Sept 27. |

They are using later receipt dates instead of actual receipt dates of June and July to circumvent the 90 day EAD rule. I had the receipt Date of August 6th date though my applications delivered on July 2nd. I got receipt notice last week and EAD card production ordered. |
