Topic: I-90
Update: My attorney received the card. I will get it tomorrow and praying that it will be error free.
Good luck to all! |
Topic: I-90
Just an update: I was finally able to get a receipt number from TSC. After calling several times and opening multiple service requests, they were able to find my original card + I-90. I feel somewhat relieved. |
Topic: I-90
I just went to an InfoPass today to get my passport stamped (planning a possible international trip). They stamped it for 90 days.
I also checked the status of the I-90 which I had submitted over two months ago (including the original LPR card) and they had no record of receiving it. I showed them the post office delivery confirmation as proof. They asked to re-send the I-90. |

Same here. I have also been waiting for several months. |
Topic: I-90
I recently filed an I-90 in order to correct country of birth on the card. It has been over a month and no response from USCIS (receipt, etc.). I called them today and they advised that they don't always issue a receipt for I-90 if it's their administrative error. And we have to wait 180 days (6 months) before inquiring.
Is anybody else in a similar situation? If so, how long does it typically take to get the corrected card back? |
Topic: "Country of Birth" on green card question
Following my attorney's advice, I just sent the card back today for correction. If somebody else has any experience with filing form I-90, please share (how long it takes, will they ask for biometrics again, etc.).
Thanks in advance. |
Topic: "Country of Birth" on green card question
My country of birth is different than the country of citizenship. On the green card, it has my country of citizenship listed. I went to an InfoPass appointment to see if I can get my passport stamped before sending the card back for correction but they said it is fine.
I am very confused! |
Topic: Need advice regarding getting temporary stamp while green card is away for correction
I have to send my card back to USCIS because of correction (for Country of Birth). If I need to travel while I wait for the new card to arrive, I was thinking of getting a temporary stamp in the passport as proof of permanent residency (in case I need to travel outside of US).
Can you please share your experience if went through a similar situation? Would they stamp without seeing proof of immediate travel plans (tickets, etc.)? Also, what all do I need to take to the InfoPass appointment? |
