Topic: Anyone still waiting.....?

Hello sweetjungle

I hope this post helps

A little background information regarding my I 131 case:
RD 08/15/2007 and ND 10/09/2007.

My wife got her travel document on 02/04/2008 after 3 soft LUDs on 01/31/2008, and 02/01/2008 and 02/04/2008. At this point in time, I did not have even a single LUD for my case. Having waited for a couple of days after my wife's EAD approval for any updates to my case, I called NSC and spoke to an immigration officer on 02/06/2008. Based on my RD & ND the immigration officer said that a decision for my case should have reached by then. The IO was a very nice lady, listened to all my queries patiently and said she will assign my case to an IO immediately. She asked me to call back NSC after 30 - 45 days if nothing happens by then. She asked me whether I wanted to open a SR. I did not want to, so I did not open a SR. She also said that I had an option to go to the field office in person if I wanted my AP approved earlier. After this call on 02/06/2008, I had a soft LUD for my case on 02/07/2008 with case status "Received and pending". There was another soft LUD on 02/08/2008 and the application status was changed to "Document mailed to applicant". I got my travel documents in mail on 02/11/2008.

If anyone is still waiting to get their travel documents with similar or close to similar RDs and NDs, I urge you to call and speak to an IO. One suggestion though. Please be patient. Not all IOs are soft spoken and ready to help. Keep calling the service center and hope (& pray) that a good IO answers your call.

I wish everyone who's waiting for their travel documents all the very best and good luck to everyone with their green card process as well.

Cheers

Hello,
A little background information regarding my I 131 case:

Topic: August filers waiting for AP approval?

My RD is 08/15/2007 and ND is 10/09/2007 at NSC. There was a soft LUD for my wife's case on 12/31/2007 and her AP was approved on February 1, 2008 and status on USCIS online says "Document mailed to applicant". I have not had even a single soft LUD for my case. My current status still says "Case received and pending". Is this normal? Any response is greatly appreciated. Cheers.
