Topic: FBI Name check

I learned that my case is pending because of name check. I received this information from Senator office and I have been informed that unfortunately they cannot expedite this problem. Is there any way I can solve this black hole problem? I don't understand why I got stuck in this hole other than I am a chemist. Any help will be appreciated.

in my case my finger print is clear. So either name check or background check? I hope it will be cleared pretty soon.
But, I heard that it may take years. If you have any suggestions, will be appreciated.

I called them up and that's what they told me "we are waiting for the security check". I asked whether I should request an INFOPASS or not and officer told me that no because they will tell me the same thing. Is this correct or they are just trying to hang off me soon. Any ideas.

Topic: What the heck is going on with I-140s in Nebraska?

My I-140 was approved on April 24 and I received approval letter, but uscis web site shows my case as "received on October 16 and pending...." Do I need to contact with uscis to correct this information? I am just worry that this may reflect my I-485 approval if system still shows that I-140 still pending. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I received my I-140 approval today. I filed concurrently on October 6, 06. Now waiting for the last step. Hope you will be receiving soon. (Please note that you should call your lawyer because when I checked my online status still it shows as case received and pending :() byt received approval letter.
