Topic: After PR visa stamping in CHC-London, Receiving passports back from Canadian Embassy, Abu-Dhabi, UAE
Hi,
Yes, I received my passports on Nov. 05, after 20 days of submission at London office. Canadian Embassy at Abu-Dhabi did not call me, instead they just delivered to Aramex courier, who called me for approval to pay their courier charges (KD 26/-) to deliver to Kuwait. I immediately approved over the phone and they passports were delivered to me (by Aramex) the next day. I landed on Nov. 10. Wishing you all the best.

Topic: UAE applicants -London office
Hi,
I received a call yesterday (Nov. 05, 2008) from Aramex that they need my approval to deliver the Passports package from Canadian Embassy, AbuDhabi at the cost of KD 26/- and I immediately approved, without any question.
The Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi did not contact me. Just the Aramex courier called me.
Today I will be receiving the long awaited package.
For Hiba, my advise is to wait for 3 months from the date of receipt of medicals by CIC and then inquire. (I waited for 4 months at that stage). If you write before that time it may annoy them. That is what is my feeling, as it is mentioned in the medical letter that the processing time is 3 months for medical reports.
Best of luck to all.

Thanks very much for your reply.
How much time will CIC grant me to submit pending PCC's?
-----------------
It is all case by case. You write to them howmuch time you want. I suppose 3 to 6 months time should be acceptable to CHC-London. If you need more, then you ask for the same before expiry of your previous grant of extension.
Hope this works out.

Hi,
I am sure your application will not have any problem due to not submitting the PCCs in time, as CIC understands such cases and yours is not the only case to have that problem and it is good that you have informed them in writing about the delays for your PCCs. Your application processing will begin only after you have submitted all necessary documentation.
Regarding finger prints, I do not have any experience of obtaining PCC from other countries. But I suppose, in your country of residence, the Canadian Embassy should be able to assist you in this regard. Further the Oman and Qatar embassies in your country of residence may also assist in this matter, I am not sure though.
Do a search in this forum with 'PCC', 'other countries', that might give you some clue.
Wish you all the best.

Sorry for not replying asI was very busy
You can not know how long ur bacl ground check takes , do e mail them to see on which ground u r standing , I also advice u to register ur children in schools as the whole process might take longer than expected , even after u get ur passport request sending them and getting them back can be a s long as two months in some cases.
Good Luck
Hello, Mayoo
Did you get your passports back. If so, howmuch time it took for you to get the passports from Canadian Embassy, Abu-Dhabi, did you have to go there personally or do they send by courier. In your case, you are resident of UAE, you can visit Abu-Dhabi any time, but my passports are in London from Oct. 15, 2008, and I am at Kuwait. Please share your experience in this regard.

Topic: After PR visa stamping in CHC-London, Receiving passports back from Canadian Embassy, Abu-Dhabi, UAE
I have sent my passports to CHC London for PR visa stamping. As per their letter, for middle east applicants, the CHC will return the passports to the applicants through Canadian Embassy, Abu Dhabi,UAE in 30 working days. Canadian Embassy, Abu Dhabi will call the applicant within that period to deliver the passports. Any body has such experience recently?
Middle eastern applicants, please share your experience in this regard, like how many days it took for you to get a call from Candian Embassy, Abu Dhabi? What is the mode of sending the passports by the Embassy? Do they send by courier? Will they ask for your choice of courier? Who pays for the courier and how? Can somebody collect the passports in UAE on the applicant's behalf.
Thanks in advance.

Topic: Applicant in Slough, UK - Wife in Karachi - How to get visa?
I sent my (Indian) passports from Kuwait to U.K by courier. Courier companies can ship passport between Kuwait and London and between Canada and Kuwait, and also from any gulf country to any other gulf countries. It is perfectly legal for these region.
When I can send my family members passports through courier to U. K without any power of attorney, I suppose and I am sure there is no problem for you carrying your family members passport to U. K with power of attorney for the purpose.
Further the power of attorney is required only in Pakistan. In U.K that power of attorney may not be required at all. In U.K, you just show the letter from the CHC, and that should be sufficient. If it was illegal to carry passport in U.K (for the purpose of visa stamping with valid proof and letter from CHC), then it would be illegal to send it through courier as well and that is the logic.
Different countries have different rules. There is no universal rule in this regard. Courier do not ship passports to and from India. And you said it is the same case with Pakistan, I understand.
Hope this answers. |

They give 60 days time for you to submit passports. They may even extend the duration if you request them. There are such cases as well. But irrespective of all these extensions, you are required to land in Canada, within one year from the date of your medicals done (not the date you received medicals request). You can take a power of attorney from your family members to carry their passports for the purpose of visa stamping at London, and that is perfectly alright. It is allowed legally and that is not an offence. Hope this information helps you, best of luck.

No, I tried for that and failed. PR visa can only be stamped by the office, where your file is under process. Nowhere else. I do not advise writing to CIC London in this regard and I do not advise transferring the file to Pakistan, that would add more complications. Only way possible is either you visit Pakistan and get her passport yourself, or she visits London on a visit visa.
