Topic: Where is the April VB?

If it is anything last year, there should be some movement with EB3 ROW perhaps to June 2006. Just hoping......

Topic: How do you go from H1B to EAD?

To IHC49, Greenmonkey is right. You can either use your EAD or H-1 visa (which from all accounts is still valid) for I-9 employment eligibility verification.
If I were you I will stay on H1-b status as long as possible, since you do not need AP if you have a valid H-1 visa in your passport. Don't let then box you into using your EAD as employment verification unless you are pretty certain about your I-485 application !!!
If you decide to use your EAD then you will need advance parole to come back to the US when you travel to India.
Best wishes.

Topic: EAD pending and H1 B expiring

To sam46

It is true to that you need a valid H1 or EAD to continue to work. But check this out. You can also ccontinue to work if your EAD is pending and you are prepared to take the risk that it will be approved within the next 90 days !!!
The I-9 regulation actually allows you to work if you have the EAD receipt but the EAD CARD ITSELF HAS TO BE PRESENTED WITHIN 90 DAYS.
I recently found this out myself. You can google the I-9 form.

Best wishes.

Topic: EAD status?

It means your case has been assigned to an IO who will adjudicate your case. Hopefully, you should start to see LUD's soon.
Best wishes.

Topic: More Evidences needed - takes how much more time??

No it will not take 90 days. As soon as they get the evidence they need your case will recommence. I suppose how long it will take after this depends on the RFE. If it is for pictures (commonest reason for EAD RFE in my opinion) then you can expect your EAD pretty soon.
So all in all it isn't terrribly bad news, at least it shows an IO has started working on your case !!!
Best of luck.

Topic: Anything got "Approval Notice Sent" Email from CRIS system in Nebraska these past few days?

That's a pretty good summary of what's happening right now. When the system works well, it works well (e-mail notification etc followed by arrival of EAD in 10 days or so) but when it goes bad it often does so in a big way !!!
Unfortunately there are so many steps and procedures that could screw up your chances of getting your EAD in a timely fashion.
All you can do is hope and pray you do not fall in the group that experience problems with the whole process.
Best of luck us all.

Topic: Where is Nebraska right now in EAD processing?

To waitingpatient,

I got card production LUD on 10/25/07 and card approval notice LUD on 11/02/07. Wife got her EAD about 3 weeks ago and daughter who had similar LUD's with mine got her EAD on 11/03/07.
As I said, I am still waiting for mine but a little concerned in light of the fact that my daughter's arrived few days ago. I will update my profile when I get it, hopefully tomorrow !!
I hope this helps.
Best wishes.

Topic: Where is Nebraska right now in EAD processing?

CRIS seems to be "dead" right now but the online update system seems to be working fine. You will probably get an approval notice update soon (in the next few days) followed by the EAD card itself in about 8-10 days (on average) although I am still waiting for mine Day+ 11 following card approval notice.
Best wishes and good luck.

Topic: approval notice vs card mailed

Dear Minchia,

Congrats on your green card. Lookiing at your profile, I could not help but notice you claim your country of birth as the US !!! Were you just kidding or what ? I guess it is immaterial at this point in time as you are now on your way to becoming a US citizen if you so wish !!!
Cheers
